    Ive been to that place. You can get the whole way up to the top of the tower. It is over 800 years old and is called androllocan castle. It was the main bolthole of the campbell tribe

    @skipstalforce Yes I know that and I should have mentioned the Campbells, I didnt think, I just took it for granted being in Campbell country, every thing in that aria is Campbell.

    Related vids gave as good history of the place, It was the strong hold of Clan Cambell which translates to croked mouth you see the Cambells were lawyers!

    just a thought you might like to have a look on my channel at , THE GATHERING OF THE CLANS ,its music ,I wrote for a film ,but I also made up a collection of photos , of ford / kilmartin , dun add / dun dubh / crinan , where we use to play in our childhood for this upload .if you like this area , cheers ritchie .

    A ,really great documentary , having been brought up at lochside , TORRAN ,in the 1950/60s loch awe ford , and my familly having lived in area for 200 plus years .What I also really liked was you where properally kitted out ! and treated the loch with respect , as if you dont , you get no second chance , nice work , many thanks for upload and have subed to follow your adventures . richard .

    Is the water ever low enough for it to be possible to walk across at any time?

    Awesome! Seen it from the shore, and illustrations of the interior, but great to have a little video tour.
    As a kid always dreamed of restoring the place and living there.
