I hope it's not bothersome of me to ask, but, could someone elaborate more about how witches' magic works? I didn't quite grasp the concept of Eternox, and I don't understand what was meant by "rejecting transformation." What does happen during that?
You will find out more in the books - but essentially, upon mastery of a certain amount of magical potential, an Arcanist will begin to undergo transformation. In this moment a fairy will embrace the feeling and sprout wings. A witch or wizard will choose to reject it - like turning your head away from an urge. This is the Eternox process and what truly defines when an Arcanist becomes a witch or wizard!
