Thanks for pushing through while sick. What a differance to Brisbane weather 35°c humidity 97%. Noticed your wind holds, must be tuff in snow, no dust and hardly any vegitation. 💯
I’ve tried convincing him to move to the tropics… he won’t go for it. 😂 Our range is tricky but the snow actually helps when falling. You get to see all the tiny tornados that would be otherwise invisible.
As always, a great run through. Thank you for the insight. I always refer to your videos and I'm certain it's made me a better shooter. This is my first season of NRL22 and as a new shooter i appreciate you and the senior shooters in the sport. Merry Christmas
Thank you for supporting the channel! Our goal has always been to help, and comments like this one are a great reminder that we’re doing just that. Merry Christmas!
Noticed you were shooting with glasses this month. Got any tips or recommendations when shooting with glasses? I wear them all the time and they can be problematic. More so with progressive lenses. Great content! Excellent COF previews!
These are brand new to me, and I’m still learning how they affect me, so unfortunately I can’t offer any tips or recommendations in good confidence. My lenses are for astigmatism. I could see how the progressive lenses couple certainly be problematic. Thanks for tuning in Dirk! We appreciate you buddy!
@john-uo1qf , kneeling is one of the more difficult positions to build while maintaining sufficient stability. Your rifles balance plays a large role in helping you achieve relative stability in that position, and a big bag to give you anchor is almost always going to aide you. If you can, see if you can get your rifle to balance on a prop like the sawhorse, forward of your mag well, if you cannot… it’s time to find some weight to try and sift that balance point forward a little bit. This will most definitely help bring added steadiness when down in that knelling position!
Any reason why the NRL22 does not offer a seperate, semi-auto division ? I believe it would increase participation, if semi autos had a division of their own. A lot of 10/22 owners out there!
Semi-auto’s are certainly welcome in NRL22! Most 10/22 rifles would fit nicely into Base Class with a decent optic. Some of the high end Kidd and Tac-Sol offerings even trend into the Open Class. But, the nature of the beast is ultimately repeatable precision and accuracy… and that is why bolt actions tend to be the lions share of the rifles you see on the line.
If you use a semi auto i assume you would still need to have the bolt open when changing positions? It would be interesting to see a vid of someone running the course of fire with a semi
@@1ANeat, the semi-auto shooters are only required to set their safety on, and call out to the RO that their rifle is on safe before they transition. Except when a stage specially calls out that the shooter must open the bolt and eject a live round like in the January COF.
@@1ANeat now that you mention it… it would be a good idea to run a stage with a 10/22 in the future to show viewers what that looks like. I may have a barrel coming in, that will just so happen to fit in 10/22 receiver. 😉
Hi Cody! Thanks for checking out the channel! You can find the plans for the Pyramid on the NRL22 Website.. Here's the address: nrl22.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/NRL22-Pyramid-Official-Instructions.pdf Thanks for tuning in!!!
To be completely honest, I’m a little biased when it comes to this optic.. It’s made in my hometown, and I drive by the factory on my way to work everyday. I really do love it, and I’m very happy with its performance over the last year. It’s built for this kind of shooting, and I feel the SCR2 reticle that Burris came up with a few years ago is the best reticle on the market. Thanks for tuning in!
Thank you very much for making all the videos this year, they were amazing, I learned a lot. Just one question, when do you make your videos, since the shooting range is always empty. Is it your own range, or is this a club range? Merry Christmas for you and your family, may 2024 be a Blessed year for you.
I’m thrilled you find them helpful! As for the range, NCRGC is a private shooting club with a limited number for members. So often we can shoot there without anyone else there. Thanks for tuning in, and Merry Christmas!
@@ShooterB1, throughout the year.. I’m generally shooting Lapua CenterX at matches. When winter sets in around here, I switch the Lapua Polar Biathlon and Polar Biathlon Xtreme. For many of my videos I’ve actually shot a lot of Norma Tac22 and had a lot of luck with it.
Just putting the final polish on it now.. January’s video will be a little longer, so it took a little longer than normal to edit. Thanks for checking in! It’s almost done!
@@22LimaRomeo thanks! Hopefully this will be my first match! Life keeps getting on the way. But I have a Tikka T1X in a KRG bravo and a Primary Arms GLX 4-16. Not nearly as nice as yours

Yeah, sometimes I wonder why I live in a place that it gets so cold that it hurts my face in the winter. 🥶 But, I really LOVE the mountains!

Great review as we've come to expect. I'm on the search for a solution to reducing heartbeat movement in my reticle. Any ideas?
Thank for your support John! Are you seeing a lot of heartbeat movement while prone, or during a positional shot?
@@22LimaRomeo Prone is not a problem. It's most prevalent when kneeling.
