I am not mechanically inclined but I like to do my own work. I’ve been trying to figure out how to check and replace my cigarette lighter spot in two places on my truck. One is right by the shifter and the other is in my armrest box. This is the first video I’ve found that helps with the one by my shifter. Thank you
OH MY GOSH! How did I edit that video and not cut out as much of that as I could? I also do not remember even hearing it while we filmed it...I must be deaf 😂😂😂
@@Snipeoff The key probably wasn't in anyway... I just did this recently to upgrade the radio. Pull fuse #51, the retained one, just not all the way out and the "door ajar" alarm will shut off. EDIT: HAHAHAHA, actually I can see the keys in the ignition later in the video. Still, pull that fuse and it will shut up.
I just did my 05 ram 1500 changed them to blue the cluster takes 11 8.5d make sure to buy few extra and I bought 1 8.4d for behind the keyless entry box so I didn't have to cut that bulb down I did have to bend some of tabs so they had a better connection they all worked on the first try make sure to test it before you put it all back together
I’m trying to replace mine, but all the replacements online have L and H for the gauges rather than numbers. Do you know or think they’d still work fine for my 04 ram 2500?
super bright LEDs has any colour LED that will fit perfectly all you need do is slightly bend the pins down so they go in TIGHT and you get LED longevity
Seriously? Remove the key, disconnect the battery and look at this guys tools! Looks to me like he was learning as he took everything apart and maybe getting the correct lamps to start with instead of doing a Mickey Mouse to make a different lamp fit. I just had to replace my ignition switch and it's not easy but I'd hate to see how this guy would do it.

best video ever! thank you
THanks for the vid and extra points for using an old analog meter! Are these 194 bulbs? They look smaller.
What is the bulb size?

Do you have the part number for the right style bulb
Hey there man did you have to move the shifter?
If I remember right we did have to shift it out of park in order to remove it yes
Did this give you a lamp out warning?
No
Pro tip disconnect battery when working on any vehicle electronics
Would this fix a dash light not wanting to turn on
I mean only if the problem is a burned out bulb 🤷🏼♂️
yes
or a loose one that sometimes comes on
Are those t5 ?
what's that in your CD player?
It's one of those Scosche magnetic phone holders, they have one that mounts in a CD slot 👍

Wow, you really have a way with words to tear people down...Keep Practicing 👌🏼👍🏼😁
Clearly you didn’t know what you were doing either as you had to look up a video to perform a task…. Better yourself buddy
@@Itsadougs_life You're being so helpful, thank you 😂
