- The plaintiff met the defendant when they worked as exotic dancers together. They soon became best friends, but she hates the possessive, controlling men the defendant often dates. One of those men is the reason they’re in court. The plaintiff is suing her friend for a car refund after one of the defendant’s boyfriends caused the defendant to have her car repossessed. The plaintiff put up her own money to help her friend, but the defendant allegedly failed to pay the plaintiff back for the repo bill. The defendant admits that the men she dates are possessive and controlling, but that’s because they don’t like she’s a stripper. The defendant insists she doesn’t owe the plaintiff for the car, and she’s countersuing for emotional distress.
They seem like two very, very nice ladies. I'm glad they're going to remain friends.

Rightfully so. She said that she’s driven the car without any problem, and that she’s only known of one “engine issue”. Had the judge allowed her to elaborate, she may have explained that he fixed it. Which would’ve put the burden of proof on the defendant to show that it was the gasket that caused the problem with the car sold as is.

I just said the same thing under another’s comment. This was a rushed judgment, which irritates me, when Judge Mathis, does that. The defendant had she been allowed to elaborate, may have been trying to explain that her boyfriend, had one issue with the car, and that he fixed it, and never had issues as she did mention, in all the times she drove the car. That shifts the burden of proof back to the plaintiff.
Exactly. My 15 SUV Buick thermostat went out & it ran hot in July & blew a gasket. Oil was everywhere. That didn’t have anything to do with my engine. caused no issues. It was costly to fix, but my engine didn’t go out. It was something else that went wrong with that car. I also didn’t like his tone at the end either but hey, he has to do what it do to kp them ratings.
