To my own experience, the taste of the spice can be reduced by eating yogurt/banana. As said, yogurt is also made of milk, so it is a win-win. Although, banana is not made of milk, it still helps. Why those two work well is because they are thicker than milk. Of course, milk helps to reduce spice, but it will not go away as fast. When you drink milk, it is just like liquid running into your stomach, and it does not have time to do its job. In contrast, when you eat banana or yogurt, it will dispose of a layer that helps reduce the spice. Be sure to consume it cold or it will not be as efficient. @FaZe Rug >>> use this as an advice if you ever do a spicy challenge.
