I cant get a wii u rom to appear in ROM manager. I can get it launched via ESD but it would be nice to launch it directly. Anyone else facing this issue?
What file extension do your Wii U games have? You need to enable the correct parser in Steam Rom Manager. To be safe, you can enable all parsers, and it should find your games.
Yep.. same reason for me. But I still use Emulation Station, because it's much cleaner imo. One solution would be: If you don't like the default controller layout for one game with emulation station, just use the steam menu and create anonther layout for your specific game, you can just swap layouts when the game is running.
Thanks for watching my Beginners Guide to Emulation on Steam Deck! Let me know if it helped you out in a comment down below! 😊
Great guide! My EmuDeck experience improved 1000x once I ditched Steam Rom Manager and just used a single front end like EmulationStation.
Great to hear! That’s a nice tip if you don’t care about having each game as a standalone game in the library.
Amen. Steam Rom Manager was such a pain in the ass.
Someone at emudeck needs to hire a UX designer. Their workflow and menus feels purposely designed to confuse and obfuscate.
@@TheSparrowLooksUp I actually think EmuDeck is quite straightforward. Steam Rom Manager is a bit more confusing though.
thank you for this video, my sister got herself a steamdeck and was like 'hey, you can set this up, right?'
Thanks a lot man for the seamless experience
Thanks for this guide!
Glad to help!
You get a "like" just for the intro music alone 🤘🏼🔥🍻

Any guide is a good guide 😊
Is this an official white steam deck? or is it an after market case?
@@booooooghi Yes. It’s the recently released Limited Edition.
What if i have a ps3 .iso file how can i get these to work on the emulator
only reason i dont like emulation station is i cant easily edit individual game controls, any suggestions for this?
