His love is beyond understanding, He went to the cross knowing how cruel it would be, knowing His disciples would desert Him .Also knowing that His Father who could not look on so much sin would turn His back on Him in Matthew 27 verse 45 That would be the most painful thing To think it was all planned before the earth was created. I'm used to a more joyful tempo. How marvelous is great news worthy of happy sound
The slower tempo promotes a more reflective tone. I like it.
I also prefer a more joyful tempo . We sang this for my mums funeral, and the Salvation Army hall resounded in the joyfullness of it.
