Such a beautiful Christmas Tree lighting ceremony in downtown Grand Rapids!! Love the community gathering of the different organizations and businesses coming together and providing freebies for the kiddos. The crisp, cold Christmas chilly air is what makes the Christmas vibe so special! That's the wonderful perk for living in the four seasons versus in the all-year valley of the sun :D. Awesome family outing and looks like everyone had a blast!!
The community did a great job putting that all together. Our kids certainly enjoyed it! And you’re so right. That chill in the air is something we’ve missed around Christmas time! It hasn’t felt this festive in a while for us!
This was so awesome! Christmas is our favorite time of year and the tree lighting looked so fun!

@@LivinOurDreamz bet!! It looked like a blast. There's just something so magical about Christmas especially when you live somewhere that gets cold. Yes, your hands freeze, but Christmas never feels as special when it's 80 outside haha.
Fun to watch, I grew up in Chicago and we would visit family in Grand Rapids. Nice to visit again through the videos.

What a beautiful “family time” evening. 🎄 I am here in the Detroit suburbs & don’t believe there is anything like this in the area.
Thought most major cities did something like this, so that’s surprising! It was a nice way to kick off the holiday season and luckily the weather wasn’t too frigid.
Somebody get the Griswalds a new station wagon, lol. I remember my folks dragging us to these and Dad trying to find parking for that old Vista Cruiser, getting so frustrated and flustered. Then magically we piled out and had the best time. I really do miss living there, the people are so awesome. Size of the tree doesn't matter, it's how they used it :-)
