In all fairness calling Baylor simply mediocre is a disservice to the bears. They are underrated, Jackson is a hell of a player, heslip as we all know can shoot the lights out, A.J. Walton has experience and plays hard defense. Not to mention they made it into the elite 8 last year and returned some key players from that squad. With all that being said I wouldn't simply chalk this loss up to just Kentucky playing poorly.
You made some good points I can't really argue, but when a team shoots 29% from the field, 50% from the 3pt line and has 16 turnovers it's rare you'll ever see that team pull off a win. The truly sad thing is that Baylor didn't play well either so no excuses really.
Baylor is 5-3 with losses to College of Charleston, Colorado (at home), and Northwestern (at home)..Northwestern got blown out by Maryland at home who UK beat on a neutral court and Colorado got smashed to smithereens by Kansas by like 40 points and College of Charleston got embarrassed by UL 80-38. At least right now Baylor is pretty mediocre...maybe even bad and UK lost to them at home...This game is the only reason I'm really worried about UK. I agree with you on your last sentence though.
I'm just going to act like this game never freaking happened...pitiful basketball played by the Cats in this game..young team or not. I can understand the Notre Dame game because it was a very young team's first true road game and Notre Dame is actually pretty damn good and experienced. But THIS GAME should have been a win for UK..I mean, Baylor is a pretty mediocre team this season and it was a home game for UK...but UK turned in an awful performance in this one...no excuses.
