It’s a weird complaint (if it is one), but these late 93/94 shows were so consistent for quality and set list that it almost makes me think that Kurt was in autopilot. I almost prefer the hit and miss (and real nature of gigs and life) performances of early times. From photos around this date, his skin looked bad and he probably wasn’t in a good place (mentally and physically). He needed looking after. I wish he could’ve been saved or saved himself.
grunge is a fashion trend not a genre of music. Nirvana is a punk rock band who just so happened to dress like Pearl Jam and Alice in chains. two bands Kurt Cobain hated and two bands that sound nothing like nirvana.. Nirvana, tad, mudhoney used to call themselves grunge until the media lumped every Seattle band wearing flannel into one category
The “Where Did You Sleep Last Night?” at this show was the greatest live performance of a song they ever did. Chilling. I’m not always in the mood to listen to it.
Been listening and loving since the Winter of 1992. Still without fail manages easily to bring out something in me from both my past and some other special place in my mind. This is a very interesting find. The Euro tour 94 was so tragic in how it all came to an end less than two months after this gig. I had friends who were supposed to see them in Dublin. The gig originally was supposed to be on Friday, April 8th.... the day that his body was found. During this leg of the tour, as mentioned here in comments, Kurt got laryngitis and the show was postponed till May instead. Then, the horrid coma in Roma happened. I remember being 14, talking to my friends in the classroom about him, wondering if he was gonna pull though. He did, but in reality at the time, I didnt know the full extent about his troubles and did not anticipate what was gonna happen next. Favourite band of all time. Defined my life in my teens, and still the best of the best to me.
I started listening in the summer of 1992 and have never stopped. There is something about Kurt's music that truly touches the soul. I have 100s of CDs/vinyl/cassettes of other bands but they're just that, "other bands." I remember when I heard the news in 1994, he was and still is the only celebrity whose death made me cry. I felt like I had lost a friend.

Yeah the In Utero tour is really depressing. Obviously because he was right about to off himself. But also because of the different atmosphere with the depression, the sloppiness, and the addition of Pat.
You can tell Kurt is still wearing the makeup they put on him for his last photoshoot in France. The photos of him putting the handgun in his mouth were from that day. Apparently he looked so terrible they had to put heavy makeup on him to cover it up. So sad. So unfortunate, it didn’t have to be that way.
There are pics of him after the show after he washed it off. They're shocking to say the least; people forget how much he hid the extent of his addiction with makeup, hair in his face, stuff like that.
J’y étais, j’avais 14 ans,inoubliable
day after i was born!
day after i was in Rennes and saw them performing.
this version of Man Who Sold the World is almost as great as the unplugged! really dynamic, unlike other live electric performances. long live nirvana ♥️
The original Bowie's version is fantastic but they really made a awesome version of the Man who Sold the World.. I agree.
Great voice & performance band🎸👍
Exactly 27 years ago today. Amazing show!
The crowd singing lyrics to Breed might be the most badass thing I've ever heard
This concert is great, even the video. It should be released officially in HD, remastered. We have only the MTV Live and loud concert released from the ill-fated In Utero tour.
We also have Rome 22/02/94, even if it's only audio it's still pretty good
live at paramount ?
@@reneharmsen5403 we are talking about the In Utero tour. The Paramount is from Nevermind tour
this is THE coolest fucking Nirvana footage ever
Wish there was an 8D version of this
How fucking good is this Where Did You Sleep Version
Last one was the BEST!!! Love it. We MISS YOU KURT!!!
Omg was there in the crowd in Paris, best concert in my life, RIP kurt
Incredible performance of Where Did You Sleep Last Night
I wish I had a time machine
This guy recorded History
Merci l'ami
The Best version of were did you sleep last night
What hits me here, and this is the worst part, is that no one knew that Kurt would die less than two months later.
Maybe he did
@@NathanDudani Yeah, there's that.
Courtney did
I ant believe there a high quality in utero show I’m in love European tour
Yeah i believe The same shit
This footage has better quality than most of the pro shots of nirvana shows lol
That must have been their best show to watch after reading 1992
What an amazing video location!
"Merci." 💙
Que hayan terminado con "where did you sleep last night"fue epico, tambien cuando todos cantan con cobain smell like teen spirit, llore
"Ok, no clapping please." They just can't help themselves haha
i love how in all the come as you are playings in 1994 everyone is singing along!
UNIQUE Style, The Best ever! Different from the rest I love and miss you :(
owo
The quality of this video is insane. Literally looks like it was recorded yesterday
Great video. Thank you 🙏 ❤
Love how kurt playd that dissonant note on the slts solo at the end of their career
HOLY FUCK THANK U SM FOR THIS
Love it so much
Loved it !!♥️♥️♥️😍😍😍
Anybody ever notice he recites a line from his suicide note in territorial pissings? 1:00:08 “it’s better to be hated for what you are than for what you are not”
@Eclectic Witch yes because we found some weird things related to her and some friends. On Kurt's death
Wow
do you mean ...than LOVED for what you're not?
@@ninasherly6615 sure
“it’s better to be hated for what you are than for what you are not”
a real quote but
is wrong, he sings "probably hated for what you are, and a whore you are" i fixed this before, also your quote is wrong also "“it’s better to be hated for what you are than loved for what you are not".. i posted the reason above
it's scary watching kurt try and blow his voice out so they can go home. what intense shows
Sliver??
im late in responding but could not tell you either way if i was prompted to comment this due to that song, as i just found this again, forgot how hq the footage is.
But theres various points at which id comment now that i recall watching this, and its not too hard to see dude doesnt wanna be there.
Like i find it really easy to tell when a musician is nervous, not into it, walking thru it, and so on, as i am one myself. I dont know why youre asking me about that specific song, do you disagree or lack critical thinkin ability?
@@stella-vu8vh no te entendi una bosta jajajaja
@@stella-vu8vh yes brutally apparent with each passing show in 94
