If you're wondering why he gets a loan even though he has a high networth/assets worth billions. It's because loans are not taxed it. It's better to take a loan and use his assets as collateral than sell his assets and gets heavily taxed.
This might be a silly question but since he’s taking out a loan or borrowing the money he would still have to repay that money and if he only has 43k liquid wouldn’t he still have to end up selling assets to repay?

Loans aren't taxed. So he'll pay off this one with another. And never pay taxes ever.
At death the loan is due and due taxes are also collected. Rich can postpone but not escape.
@@kindafast6499 the interest they pay is on top of the taxes due when assets are sold to pay off their debt at death. This delays taxes but does not bypass taxes and the cost is the loan interest.
@zeeone4492 Dead and estate pays back loans and taxes. To escape taxes requires being bankrupt at death but few are and lenders know that tax collectors get priority so their loans will account for taxes that are due else it would be lenders not tax collectors that would lose money.
He didn't get a loan. He got a bank.
@@rytisseskevicius8732 Right I dont get why his bank account was even considered, wealthy people will keep their money working so your net worth isn't about what's in your bank account it's about how much your asset's are worth. @@vividsftw67a better way to explain it. Apple is worth trillions as a company. Imagine the CEO has 10,000 in his bank (and 100% shares).
His problem is accessing the trillions by selling Apple. Because how do you sell a trillion dollar company when the richest person is in the billions.

This reminds me of one of my dad's stories, not on the same level, but... He was the VP for finance (that's a 'CFO' nowadays) at a chain of very high end jewelry stores, and his office was in their flagship store.
Once, the sales manager came to him and said a new customer wanted to buy a $100,000 ring on credit, and the manager didn't know what to do (this was early 80's, so like $350k+ in 2024 dollars.)
So my dad stepped onto the sales floor, and as soon as he sees the guy, he instantly said- 'Give him whatever he wants!'
It was Bob Dylan. (Who had a show in town that weekend.)😮😅
Lmfao, that's not a CFO now days, you can (as the fortune 50 company I work for) have a VP for finance along with a CFO, shit we have an associate VP, VP, Senior VP, associate exexutive president, executive president, and senior executive president before our CFO. ➡️ For anyone wondering what it is:
It's a 8 episodes mini serie called "WeCrashed" with Jared Leto & Anne Hathaway based on the true story of the crashing down of the startup WeWork (office space sharing).
It was capitalised at 47 billions down to zero in a year.
You take 100 million $ of loan/credit in bank, using your stocks as collateral. Then you pay monthly installments that are covered by your yearly dividend from stocks, and you newer ever pay any tax on all this.
Your stocks are still worth millions, and probably going up every year.
Easy mode how rich people do not pay any or almost any tax, while rest of poor people are taxed almost 50% (in EU for example)
Dividends are taxable. The trick is to get incrementally larger loans.
Where do I go so I don't have to pay tax on stock dividends and my stocks go up every year? Or should I just read, Alice In Wonderland?
You obviously don't have money, Pollyanna.

I could watch this series again. Brilliant.
This is literally how the rich deal with money. Technically, they’re poor personally because they lock up all their assets in their businesses, property, stocks, etc., and just take out loans using these as collateral. Then they take out more loans to pay the previous ones. This is because loans aren’t taxed, so they save a ton of money by doing it this way. It’s crazy that it actually works, but it’s how they stay rich and keep most of the money they would lose to taxes
It's also beneficial because that money can then be reinvested in the company to expand it creating more jobs and value. If it went towards taxes it would be pissed up a wall and sent to Ukraine to fund a proxy war.
But when people pay their credit cards with other credit cards people call them financially illiterate.
They're not illiterate they're just asset-poor. If they had the assets it would make perfect sense.
Told my bank teller, "google me." She called the cops
Loki before hitting puberty
Rich people do it that way because they avoid taxes Current in the system, you have $10 million of stock you can get along against it never selling your stock letting it increase throughout the years and just keep getting a bigger loan until they die never paying taxes
