Something I've read somewhere I don't remember, mentioned the sustain and decay of an instrument being a reflection of life. A piano is controllable in its sustain, from short to long, and represents the variety of the length of life lived. A guitar is an instrument of tragedy that each evoking of the note always has a short sustain and decay, representing the brevity of life. I wonder which is more suited here.
I've always been amazed by this musician no matter how much time has gone since I have last seen him. I am always surprised by the compositions he pulls together. He is everything I ever hope of becoming in my musical path and an example of what I would want my kids to one day to become.
