Hi MC VIBe i am learning the craft of MC and i would like your definitive point of view on when to speak on the track and when to let it flow. I heard first rule is tonnot talk while there is another voice. Second rule is avoid talking on melodies. But my issue is in general, when you are allowed to talk ( meaning no voice or melody) when is it. Better not to.
How you doing William .. hope you are well, thanx for your interest in short nobody likes to be interrupted including you. In our case we have to be sure of couple of things 1. Not to mess up Dj’s mixes 2. While the listeners are singing along with the music 3. Not to put too much pressure when the music itself comes with too many elements Choose the empty bar space, sync with your Dj first, have a pre planning gimmick with the Dj .Being an emcee our voice should be delivered to the listeners clearly (the message) so you wouldn’t wanna overlap with too many vocals playing. Besides being a crowd controller, you gotta be a good bar stealer find for the empty space to deliver your craft cheers buddy
So i applied your advice and it worked like a charm. I dont want to sound demanding but another couple of questions arise: 1. How do you wake up the crowd? Meaning you can see them getting bored what do you do to get them excited again? 2. Do you have techniques for when the dancefloor is empty or starts getting empty?
DJ CZA WASSAP!!! 💿🔥
