I think the Confederate Monument in Marion Virginia should be left alone... All the Confederate Monument's are there because it's a part of our history as a Confederate State , its been there for years . Why is it an issue now ?
I was part of the group that rode thur to support the confederate monument they need to leave them all in place thats part of america history ive got a confederate flag painted on my trailblazer and ill support the confederate flag and statues any day of the week thanks to everyone that rode thur to support the monument and this needs to be done every year keep the confederate flags flying and stand your ground
The point of the protests are to educate and spread the movement, not to target people, but to peacefully protest against police brutality and racism. Listen, Courtney, your little town isn't being attacked or divided it's being educated. I'd also like to say as a poc that lives in Marion, I've never felt connected or protected in this community. I HAVE had people try to assume my race and/or insult me by calling me a slur/stereotype. So, no this town has been racist and definitely needs to be educated.
@D B it's really not that deep, it's a movement to stop injustice. Stop trying to twist it into some type terrorist ordeal. Also don't just immediately trust some website on the internet, research from multiple websites and look at information from different perspectives that aren't necessarily your own. Find people who actually go to the protests peacefully and not from some biased source
You get a permit you can march. Freedom of speech goes both ways and I don't approve of either extreme but their right to protest stands as long as they do not impede traffic. Start shutting down the highways and I take issue with that. Lootiners should be shot on sight I don't care who they are.

You really mean indoctrinate people into your critical race theory cult that is absolutely intolerant of true education or real critical thinking.

@Rebel Yell you're proving my point!
Piss off and leave if you don't like it.
Power to the Patriots!
Marion did allow the KKK to march in the 90's & I was there for that historical event.

I was a child in the 1990s (I've lived in Marion most of my life), I don't remember that.
Very racist town. Lived here my whole life.
Then leave, nobody wants you here.
Same
Sounds pretty racist to me! Actions speak louder than words!
Then live somewhere else because you're not wanted here.
The protest was a lone goofy looking ginger?
Sounds like there were a lot of motorcycles with illegal exhaust systems at the protest.
"Patriots"...lmfao. Smfh, wow
