ha true, i admire the dedication though thru so many shitty movies, i forget what his best review was but it was for a pretty bad 80s movie...im happy that he did awesome in this role..cudos dude.
It's set 40 years after the New Batman series. Not sure how old he was then, but that would put him in the 70-80 range for Beyond, I guess. Michael Keaton is 63.
locutus94 all he need to do is put on makeup to look younger and paint his hair black or put on a wig (but yes i rlly want him to play batman again...because he is batman)
You should play Batman right before he gives up and then Terry McGinnis becomes the new Batman that should be how the movie is he’s old he can’t fight anymore and a younger kid becomes Batman just like the TV show Batman beyond all the OG‘s remember!
Keaton says he's just going to invite a couple of friends over to see his screening, just something casual. Invites Jack Nicholson over. haha that's boss.
Keaton has been one of my all time favourite actors. There is something about him, a strange quality that no other actor has. Besides, he has the best sense of humor I can imagine, quick responding and witty and always spot on.
oktoberK my favorite scene with him as Bruce Wayne is when he meets Selina Kyle for the first time in Batman Returns with the scene where he meets the Joker in Vicky Vale's apartment a close second.
I really wish Michael could have done at least one more Batman film directed by Tim burton, but alas is never came to be because of Warner brothers Studio interference.
You know, I recently re-watched Birdman and Keaton definitely should have won over Redmayne. His was such an honest, strong and powerhouse performance. Redmayne was great as well, but he basically grimaced sitting slumped down in a chair. It's hard to make such a character come to life, no doubt, but Keaton's performance was just effin' epic. He should've won just for the scene with the movie critic alone.
You know what, it would be cool if Michael Keaton comes back as Batman, playing in a movie adaption of "The Dark Knight Returns", where Bruce Wayne is 55 years old and retired, however, crime gets so bad again, it forces him to comeback as Batman.
Jack's energy is naturally elevated and he's exceptionally gifted, a lot of people judge and misunderstand him. Keaton is a humble guy and is my fave Batman.
The scene close to the beginning of Birdman where Keaton and Edward Norton are on the stage together and throw lines out is amazing. They are acting while acting! If that's not talent, I haven't a clue what is.
In a 2020 interview, Michael Keaton revealed he was really nervous and self conscious about working with Jack Nicholson, because he's so strong on film and had so much power, and it ended up just being great because Nicholson made everybody feel really, really, relaxed. They ended up becoming close friends.
Someone needs to do one of those Funny or Die with Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer, George Clooney, Christian Bale and Adam West hanging out as the League of Batmen.
I love it that all you here about Jack is from others people's accounts of time with him and stories of him. Its like he's the real life man, The myth, The Legend
Jack Nicholson is without a doubt a character and everyone has a story to tell about him but I wonder why he's so camera shy and he never appears on any chat shows or give an interview whatsoever!
+TruthBeTold I never even realized that he is rarely (ever?) on talk shows. He seems like the kind of guy that'd be on them often and be a memorable guest. Given that he always shows up at all the major award shows, it's a little odd that that willingness to be out doesn't translate to talk show appearances, too.
aseriesofletters That's true. Not to mention that he has slept with a lot of famous women including Justin Trudeau's Mom so he has quite a lot of interesting stories to tell...
He should have won but the academy only loves biopics but birdman was an original screenplay masterpiece . Eddie just copied hawking and brought it to life but Keaton created Riggan Thomson and added depth, layer and gave a multidimensional performance . If you are making a biopic make it like The favourite which draws inspiration from the real people but creates an original creative and imaginative story
This dude could literally talk about anything and I’d listen to it. Michael Keaton is the true definition of class. Wish him success on his future endeavors. Thanks for making me dream that I could be Batman.
Michael Douglas is my all time favorite actor and I loved him as Batman. I have yet to see this Birdman, but I have only heard good things about it. He was also great in Multiplicity actually making all his clones unique. Michael Douglas is my favorite batman.
People embrace “The Dark Knight”, but “Batman” transported me into another world. Once Elfman’s score ramps up, combined with Burton’s direction and THIS GUY in the role... it’s easily the best Batman in my mind.
Who cares about Academy Awards? It's a circle jerk of people giving and returning favors inside their own limited sphere of self-interest and Jews. It has nothing to do with awarding cinema work.
Aivottaja completely agree. No one realizes the liberal propaganda they try perpetrating and the fact that a performance like Alan Arkin in little miss sunshine WON?!
I had the opportunity to see Michael Keaton in person. I use to work in a movie theatre where we had quite a few celebrities come in and some non celebs too. One night Michael walks in and goes to watch the movie we were showing. At that time we would wear buttons advertising the movie or a movie that was coming out. So as he passed me at the door I said Good evening sir and he went in. Next to me was this young kid and he asked me who is that.. Michael overheard him came back to where the kid was and told him I am him.. pointing to the Batman button... LOved it... and then he walked away.
Birdman is the best movie I have seen in ages. Sure we can give FURY a nod for being the best war movie, but Birdman is hands down, the Actor's Choice movie.
Steven Campbell True. I think it is quite possibly the best movie I have ever watched and I really don't make such statements lightly, like some people.
Really? how many awards does your uncle have? isn't that info you can just look up on the internet anyways how does that prove anything. Also, I was saying that Michael as he has gotten older is surprisingly similar to my own uncle. I have no idea how many awards my uncle has I know he was a football star before he knocked up my aunt but I have no clue how many awards he has.
Honestly, just from watching Birdman, seeing his Golden Globe acceptance speech & now this...This guy is the type of role model kids need to be looking up to. Just a fucking magnetically good guy.

Agreed!
Douglas Nading Will do... thanks.
I couldn't agree more!

There's such a fundamental joy in just watching Michael Keaton exist.
Agreed
Keaton and Nicholson are good friends still. That is awesome.
A playful image shoots through my mind of 80 year old Bruce Wayne sitting across a checker board from an 80 year old joker...
@@jackwarren1687 That Joker would be in his late 90s to early 100s actually
Michael Keaton for old Bruce Wayne in Batman Beyond!
Fuck yea
Not old enough, should be client Eastwood
ansatsu34 Makeup+acting might be able to fix that.
How old is he? How old is Bruce in batman beyond?
It's set 40 years after the New Batman series. Not sure how old he was then, but that would put him in the 70-80 range for Beyond, I guess. Michael Keaton is 63.
I don't care how old he is, I still want him to play Batman again.
same!
locutus94 all he need to do is put on makeup to look younger and paint his hair black or put on a wig (but yes i rlly want him to play batman again...because he is batman)
Agreed . Batman isn't alien. He should be aging
You should play Batman right before he gives up and then Terry McGinnis becomes the new Batman that should be how the movie is he’s old he can’t fight anymore and a younger kid becomes Batman just like the TV show Batman beyond all the OG‘s remember!
Be careful what you wish for😝 June 2020

I just have so much respect and admiration for Michael Keaton. An extremely talented and versatile actor, and no ego whatsoever.
Mr.Keaton will always be my all-time favorite Batman :)

agree he did a perfect job as BATMAN
Don Scott he is Batman
Keaton seems like such a cool guy. I think he'd be an interesting person to have a conversation with...And he was the best Batman.
He loves weather, no joke, so talk about meteorology. He's obsessed with it.
Now I want footage of Michael Keaton and Jack Nicholson as Batman and the Joker watching sports on TV.
i'm not even a sports fan and even i want that
Jack nicholson didn't play batman bro
@@itsmepeterparker4618 I didn't say he did. I said I wanted footage of him and Michael Keaton as Joker and Batman watching sports.

oktoberK my favorite scene with him as Bruce Wayne is when he meets Selina Kyle for the first time in Batman Returns with the scene where he meets the Joker in Vicky Vale's apartment a close second.

He outclassed Christian Bale on all levels, including the Bruce Wayne part
I really wish Michael could have done at least one more Batman film directed by Tim burton, but alas is never came to be because of Warner brothers Studio interference.
I love Jack Nicholson anecdotes, because he has a very unique personality, its like he only speaks in memorable one-liners
😂😂 great way to put it
Michael Keaton and Jeff Goldblum are some of my favorite talk show guests of all time, they *really* know how to tell a story!
if only jack nicholson was younger to still be doing more movies.
He was/is the best of the legends
Nicholson sounds cool. I'm going to calling Keaton "Keats" from now on because of him.
Jack would call robin williams "ROBO" Like ROB/BOW....Jack kicks ass
Doesn't really work unless you're the guy's friend. Lol
You know, I recently re-watched Birdman and Keaton definitely should have won over Redmayne. His was such an honest, strong and powerhouse performance.

Yes I agree. The critic scene was legendary
That critic scene is one of my most favourite scences , specially that concluding line- "I AM AN ACTOR"
Michael Keaton didn't get it because he is a conservative... plain and simple.
100% Agree!!!
It's interesting that he did birdman and then vulture. Must have been interesting to hear his response when approached.
I've seen a lot of videos with Keaton and whenever he tells a story, he's a pro at it.
He probably honed that skill during his days as a stand-up comedian.
Michael Keaton is the man.
I adore Michael Keaton! I'm so happy he's getting so much acknowledgement now - and I get to hear all his stories. Hurrah!
You know what, it would be cool if Michael Keaton comes back as Batman, playing in a movie adaption of "The Dark Knight Returns", where Bruce Wayne is 55 years old and retired, however, crime gets so bad again, it forces him to comeback as Batman.
Sadly the studio won't have the balls to go through with that movie. It would be fantastic though and I would love to see it happen!
Or just Batman Beyond.
Batman vs superman is going to be adapted from dark knight returns
Great Idea!
Birdman is as close as there is to Keaton as Batman again.
Michael Keaton and Jack Nicholson are 2 of the best actors and all around good guys
Wonderful Actor, magnificent performance in Birdman! Michael Keaton carried that movie on his shoulders.
Can't believe he's 63. Looks and acts 20 years younger at least.
It's funny.. I call it inner sun.
Do you actually know any 40 year-olds? He looks older than 40.
matthew kühl I’d say He look 50. I know people who are 60-65 and they look A LOT older.
well.. maybe just acts 20 years younger...
In Hollywood they call it, "getting some work done".
Jack's energy is naturally elevated and he's exceptionally gifted, a lot of people judge and misunderstand him. Keaton is a humble guy and is my fave Batman.
Keaton and Nicholson have to be make another movie together. I loved both of them in Batman (1989). Both of them are talented and successful.
The scene close to the beginning of Birdman where Keaton and Edward Norton are on the stage together and throw lines out is amazing. They are acting while acting! If that's not talent, I haven't a clue what is.
