Loved this little movie since I was little along with "The Three Caballeros". Actually did an essay in college about the origins of the two films courtesy of President Roosevelt's Good Neighbor Policy and Walt Disney's trip to South America. The professor loved the essay if you were wondering.

Adrian Yu I never appreciated The Three Caballeros when I was a kid. Now, I love the movie.
Adrian Yu I think Mickey would have fit in the movie, but Donald and Goofy were a perfect fit.

The beginning definitely sounds a bit like the the beginning of the Soviet national anthem. It's the first three notes-- sa-LU-DOOSS
The opening is similar to the opening of Tom and Jerry as well as looney tunes
