Yes, you can direct this reiki to others through intention. Personally, I find it helpful to hold a photo of the person or the image of that person in your mind's eye while holding the intention that the reiki be directed to them. You can do this as often as you desire.

The short answer is yes, reiki can help. However, if what you're really asking is will Reiki CURE dementia or Alzheimer's, there is no promise of that as there are too many variables as to why that may not happen. At best, Reiki energy helps to bring cells & microbiome back to their innate frequency and when cells & microbiome are unable to return to their healthy innate frequencies they either explode & disintegrate and are excreted through perspiration, respiration, mucus, urine, fecal matter, etc.
