After watching this, I just realized I have a bootlegged Star Wars Bluray collection. I spent $80 on it and had it in my collection for over a year and only just now realized it. Unbelievable.
@@WhirlingMusic yeah I got a couple sets of the whole db kai and super on dvd . Bootleg but cut straight from official dvds “New” these are going around a lot unfortunately but people are selling them cheap
It's amazing how much work the bootlegger put into duplicating the packaging when they were just going to stick burned BD-Rs you could instantly tell were boots in it
this is why i go to rightstuf or best buy for all my anime needs..rarely do i biy a very hard to find rare dvd from ebay. like the 1997 berserk dvds imagined to get all them sealed thru ebay little by little hehe😛
Great video, you're 100% correct. Black & Blurays, as i call them, are totally bootlegged. If the disc isn't a clear mirror finish on the back, its bootlegged.
Dont feel bad I got a few bluray and dvds bootleg but it was only due to the fact that movies animes where out of print and new/ old stops was at ridiculous prices. That's why bootleg comes into play alot.
Well...I never got a chance to watch the bootleg set I actually have a follow up video cause I was able to find a real one cheaper and the guy gave me a refund and never asked for the bootleg back so I gave it to my cousin..he has a whole bunch of these bootlegs on his eBay store so don’t buy any anime on eBay you’re gonna get bootlegs sadly
I mean I handed the bootleg off to my cousin he didn’t mind but as a collector it made me mad that I spent more on a bootleg than I did the real thing on Amazon, the problem is the bootlegs are gonna eventually wear down more and hav data corruption that makes the discs skip easier so I don’t really think bootlegs are good for anyone really.
@@BobTheB0SS Well at least you got your money back. It is unfortunate that the market has been flooded with these fakes. I wouldn't be surprised if the ratio of fakes to real sets out there is 10:1 at this point.
you must off order from a 3rd party seller because remember if your ordering from amazon make sure seller say sold by amazon and shipped by amazon not just a random name as the seller and shipper
@@robbycooper6787 my cousin would be the best one to do a review considering he’s so knowledgeable on the show and has watched every iteration of it. I could ask if he would want to.
I had gotten some bootleg dragon ball super sets from eBay and either the seller gave me a partial refund or refunded me completely and told me to keep it
you are INCREDIBLY lucky if you have what I think you have. there is a decent chance that you have a lost BROADCAST audio, colour corrected dragonbox bootleg. If that is the case. That bootleg is of better quality than any "Real" version of Dragonball Z you can buy. you have have completely by accident gotten a bargain.

Is it bluray though?

I’ve gotten individual bootleg sets before but my god it’s amazing they did a whole damn serious set for one.
The lengths people go I swear.

I also got sent a bootleg of season 1 of Dragon Ball Super on blu-ray
Dragonball and Dragonball Z are great, but it literally takes them 20 episodes to start and get through one fight.
i dont trust ebay
I bought Dragon Ball Super, saw the blue back of the disc, and knew it was a bootleg
I bought this one too! On my set season 1 episode 6 was glitching, don't know if you have the same problem.(i already sold this set)

I don’t mind if they bootleg Fr , but do they still play the same ? Can you still watch all the seasons ?

The seller of this bootleg had their eBay account deleted. haha
I wont buy any blurays or any thing like that off of ebay
Amazon has them too. I havent heard it happening with Amazon sold products, but Ive heard it happen with Amazon fulfilled orders from other sellers.
@@BobTheB0SS If they are bootlegs, I hope you get a refund. Do you know what to check for once you get them?

Start with dragon ball
If I wanted burned copies I would burn my own, why would I pay money for that?

Yeah the dragon box was amazing so what I’ve heard
I've never heard of something like that. The dragonbox didn't come in blu ray i thought. If that's a real thing, that'd be a dream for collectors
That seller is a con artist.
But really, you shouldn't have bought that at all. It's a garbage DBZ release, anyway.
the bootleg is cheaper??,
Actually no it was $30 cheeper for the real one lol
Oof
MADE IN CHINA
🤦🏻♂️
Take it out back and burn it.
Anything fake/counterfeit/bootleg sucks!
Burn it!!!
