This is my 134th water colour demonstration video
The demonstration presented for you today is a landscape. There is something special about it. Part of a lake can be seen in this landscape.
The depth of the lake and the low depth when we are near the shore is also depicted in this video.
After watching this video you will understand how to get the exact result through painting or colour application.

Wet land ,dry land and water over the land with mirror image of foliage and sky, stone in wet soil, stone above the water and stone submerged in water, all are beautifully depicted.It is a classic work on indian hand made paper without using any masking agent.So inspiring for all the learners.
Again, a wonderful painting! When I saw the reference image, I was eager to see how the shallow water is painted. Because, in the shallow area, the bottom of the lake, the pebbles there etc. should be visible through the water. This is what I learned. The farther end of the lake reflects the sky. Hence, it was painted in a very light blue colour. Area nearer to the viewer is shallow. Hence, this area was painted in a light brown colour to show the soil at the bottom of the lake which shows through the water. The brown colour turn lighter as we proceeds towards the middle portion of the lake. Then, the rocks and pebbles are painted. Those rocks and pebbles further away from the viewer are painted in lighter shade and those nearer are painted in darker shade of colours. This gives an illusion of depth. Then the reflections of the rocks, pebbles, the grass and trees on the edges of the lake are painted. These give a perfect illusion of the water and the shallow depth of the water. Beautiful! As usual the painting looks more beautiful than the reference! The painting is more vivid and brighter ! It gives an impression of lots of greenery around! I am soooo much impressed by ur water colour landscape . When l was very young ,l used to do water coloring only ,that too landscapes were my favourite painting . Then tried oil ,acrilic etc,. But seeing this ur demo 1at time ,l think ,l can restart water colouring . Very ,very beautiful Sunil .thank you .Wish u to do more demos in future .

Pointed brush work is outstanding.reflection of stones in water not shown. Shadow is different and reflection is different. This work is only pointed brush and a flat brush.exellent sir water is not moving at all.should move pl.
