fantastic video! Thanks for all the details.
Personally I think pixel photos look more professional. Just like a shot on a professional camera , aesthetics matching perfectly. When comparing Samsung it looks more bluish and sometimes less detailed and on the iPhone it looks more warmer and mute. Anyone who doesn't focus on editing can post a pixel photo directly in social media.
Great vid bruv 💙. Keep em coming
Appreciate that bro 🙏🙏
great video!
I'd pick a Pixel phone for snapping photos over everything else, any day.
Awesome pixel!
Does shooting in RAW by default give you the less processed option for which you are looking?
I wonder what u think of video boost. You should do a short. I always like your take in smart phone photography
I covered this in my Pixel 8 pro review, main opinion is it needs to be on-device to really become much of a factor imo
You can tone down the HDR in camera settings - more settings - turn off Ultra HDR.
This is different - that’s actual HDR colour mapping. I’m talking about how colours are represented in normal photos on the pixel
Being the only phone in the market where the exposure and shadow sliders require you to switch to another page in the camera app in order to access them, instead of being directly in the viewfinder - is still a step down and added inconvenience that just doesn't make sense. Not that a large part of their decisions make sense to begin with but yea..
In the post and cant wait to see how it will work with my Beastgrib macro, wide and tele. By the way is the Elo 7a test pure Bshit?
What Elo test?
@@ItsTomRich Blind test apparently by millions and last year chicken dinner winner Pixel 7a.
Tom how did you dial in the 84% speed on.the timeline - I use FCP, and I only have certain slow and fast ratios.
If you go to retime, you can either choose custom or automatic speed :)
@@ItsTomRich thanks Tom 👍🏻
Another pixel W
That video looks jittery. I think your fps mismatch distorts it.
Where's the location you shooted?first stage of the video, specially the sea.. Name the place
It’s called Annecy in France, near the alps
For some people like me who like a fast phone with good camera. i can bare the bad camera but i can't stand the slow phone coz it's so frustrating if the things are not as responsive as flagship phones. just saying.
8A isn’t slow at all actually
@@ItsTomRich Did you use it as your main phone for a few months? I have used 5a and very disappointing except the photography. Under sunny day, while I was recording a video, it would stop the recording stating the phone was too hot. Annoying af. Hopefully, there is no more such issue.
Btw, I think you are a Brit and thank you for not omitting T when you speak.
First!
Pleeease find a Xperia One VI and make a review
Literally just ordered one 😎
I'd like to see you review a vivo or oppo😎@@ItsTomRich
Dude... you didnt shoot on RAW and the iPhone definitely produce more saturated and processed images

Watching on pixel 8a , lol
Good choice lol
How's the phone performing bro? Planning myself to buy one, aloe but i am confused of mixed things said by many reviews i watched. Someone says tensor g3 is bad, some that it overheats etc etc
@@tiberseptim6648 not had any problems with it man
@@derrickrwanda10301 i am glad to hear that, i really like how this phone looks and the specs he gives you for the price (in my country is overpriced but it's fine, I buy a phone once in a 5 years lol)
@@derrickrwanda10301 glad to read that bro, i am thinking to buy this one or wait for 9 lineup
500 bucks entry level?! then how do you call those moto or redmi phones for 100 bucks?
Don't praise the iPhone and criticize Android cameras until you test the Vivo and Oppo flagships' cameras. The iPhone 15 Pro Max doesn't come close
I can’t get the vivo in the UK 🥴
As an Android user, I still think iPhone is the best smartphone for *VIDEO* capturing.
@@smsmuadmoulana iPhones may seem consistent with video recording, but in low light OIS is not as good as its competitors, even in good lighting. So thereby making it inconstistent
Whoever is praising Chinese phones for videography, surely hasn't tried the iPhone 15 Pro Max vs Chinese phones side by side... I agree in terms of Photography Oppo/Vivo has leapfrogged the competition but pixel 8 pro is still the king of Photography
@@HansTechTalk Well I know the capabilities of the Pixel 8 series cameras are outstanding, producing more vivid colours rather than true to life (which can be adjusted to the users preference) but the camera hardware on the chinese smartphones already gives it an edge over the Pixel 8 phones, besides the latter does more processing than the former here. And as for iPhones, I think that one speaks pretty much for itself.
