I remember when a reported asked her in an interview why does she "bother singing these patriotic songs and performing at such weird official places". She was condescending, arrogant, laughed about it into her face. Having roots is important. The less you have, the harder your life was the more you appritiate it. Those living in bubble, luxury, come up with all kind of ideologies and loose their connection to reality are really clueless. Yet they try to patronise others. I appritiate Diana's heart, soul, performances. Even when she appritiates the past, those who gave everything for their country, for everyone, including those who don't appritiate it. (wow i'm really not man of words, wrote appritiate so many times. :) ) Take care everyone!
You are right there is nothing wrong with being a patriot, i don't like the politics, i don't like some people and i don't agree with where things are in my country but i love my country, it's history and the people who died to defend it. These are your roots, without roots you are nothing. That is why i appreciate Diana, she is not political but she is a patriot, she loves her country and pays honor to it's history appropriately.
