Many casual players just leave the base black wrap and the transparent plastic alone , then apply the overgrip. Any disadvantages ?

@@user-zn9go7ck4g no major disadvantages. If you felt uncomfortable about the grip size or the base’s pattern, you could do it like me. In my case, I wasn’t really a fan of the pattern of the base grip
