Many people slip through the cracks: I don't get diagnosed with autism as a child. This can make life & relationships extremely difficult. My friends wife is autistic: they really loved each other but ended up divorced: because he nor she knew she was autistic. She was diagnosed with autism 10 years ago. She was quick to tell her ex husband about the disease. He took alot of time & care to educate his self about her illness. Happily they re-married & have been married for over 14 years now. I have told them: it would be a great love story & a good lesson: if they ever decide to write a book about their relationship & autism has shaped their lives.
