Convicting me when you say, "whether it's an ex..." I have returned to Egypt at such a critical point, and I pray that by His mercy and love, I may be delivered once again from this.
Our Lord is a Father of 2nd chances pray to him to rescue you from Egypt and take you to the promise land. I myself went back years ago and it slowly started to become a nightmare at the time being in it I got deceived by money and all the thing I had but it came with a cost. I regret ever going back and looking back now am away from all that, but it took a lot of prayer and shed tears to break free. At the end I felt like there was no way out but the Lord rescued me and made a way. He took me out and gave me a new beginning, identity, purpose, community, he made everything new. I spent some time in the wilderness but he showed up in our life in the most amazing way and like she mentioned the book of Job we lost everything but he blessed us with so much more.

The reason people do not use this phrase is because there are people who get offended that you essentially are saying that God worked thru you - Well, Let them be offended. Because their being offended by God. Our purpose is to bring glory to God, Not ourselves.

I was literally thinking today about going back to my hometown after becoming estranged from family etc because of abuse but I felt torn because I know how much they affect my mental health when I interact with them. God did bring me out from that place and I probably shouldn't go back
