I love miss Zoë, I would love to see sis Thandiswa, sirs Nduduzo Makhathini (his album Modes of Communication: Letters from the underworlds, is phenomenal) and Ndabo Zulu (Queen Nandi: An African Symphony is just 🙌🏾) on the couch
The key word noticed here is Assimilation. It's unfortunate how much is stripped from black people to make us fit into holes created by others who never had us in mind. Zoe articulates this so well and truly her album is a call to society more so black people to do self-reflection and to speak out against the atrocities we suffer. Also just celebrating who we are as black bodies. PS: Great song selection in the background
Beautiful and concise analysis. I love how we acknowledge what was done and also add in a solution to it so that we can move forward. Thank you for watching 🖤🙏🏿
Talk about perfection... the background sound always on point Well it takes a village to raise a child as she said herself that she wasn't raised ony by her parents or grandparents but the village she grew up in and the people around her then she goes on to say they never told her that they love her but only showed her love hence we say action speak louder than words Thanx for the video sipho keep up the good work
Argh Thank you.. I try to improve as much as I can🖤. These conversations are taking us back to all the African saying we grew up hearing 'It takes a village' and now we get to see it in our everyday lives 🥺. Thank you for the beautiful analysis 🖤
Yoh I feel her when she spoke about not being qualified to speak her own language and feeling alienated, I relate and actually still feel like that. It happens a lot when I am quiet and listening to myself think and realize that I'm doing it in English. But I am pleased to hear that people have assured her that it belongs to her and she should grasp it, which she did
I totally relate to that. Thinking in English then stopping myself half way 🙄. And also people feeling like you are not African enough because of your accent. But being African is noy about how you look or sound it's about your Spirituality 🖤🙏🏿
Every time "To be continued" pops up I feel like screaming😑. Thank you for this Sipho😭❤️.. Arghh!! uZoe her voice is effortlessly beautiful. Can't wait for more😁
