I was in a band briefly with Matt in 1991 in los Angeles. i saw him do some incredible drum solos at rehearsals. Great guy too.
holy shit. hard to believe he was damn near 40 at that time!!

This is sick but when he was younger in the 90's w/ the mule I saw him play drum solos that rival that of **ANY** 60's/70's rock drummer.

Love Matt Abts as a drummer with Gov't Mule. Nice solo, but c'mon, let's save amazing for amazing. This is a bunch of rudiments, triplets, and quads, well done. Kit sounds great, even in a meh recording.
Because films title average drum solo get lots of attention on platforms such as this eh? Thank you for your invaluable input though.
