It’s so sad that she’s vulnerable and let’s him pull money from her. I just don’t understand how anyone can be so desperate they’ll let people take advantage of them so bad? I’m glad I’m not that way. My momma didn’t raise a fool. But in my life I’ve had to always work so hard for my money that I didn’t let anyone get money from me. It isn't that she is stupid. She is lonely, she doesn't seem to have a bone in her body that has doubt, and she may have a past where she has been abused, been told she is worthless, or any other type of abuse. Plus, after years of being scammed like this, do you really want to admit that you were gullible enough to give someone all your money to the point where you suffer financially? It will take her a long time to admit to this when it happens. She does need help, a couple times a week with a therapist to dig down deep and find the root of it all. She is acting like an abusive partner; she is always making excuses for him, trying to find some logical route that will work for her to stick something like this out. She HAS to have a past that allowed this to happen.
Any one can fall victim to a scam. Even we did (for a job opportunity), but we caught it before any money could be sent. Who would pay for a job unless it is for a license to work for some establishment. Was a fun few phone calls with a Nigerian asshole. It is actually more fun to argue with someone in a scam center in India than it is from a dude from Nigeria. At least from India, their insults are funny because they do not make any logical sense. Nigerian dickweed? They just scream about white privilege p****.

I'm Nigerian and I can confidently say that that accent is from West Africa. The scammer is either a Nigerian or from any of the neighbouring countries. Jodi is just shrouded in a world of her own. The most annoying thing is that she has a deep-seated hatred for black people yet a group of dubious black men have been taking her for a ride for 7 years. She is just delusional.

Your comment is a little bit stupid and very apathetic. This is a form of addicition, not to mention there are clearly some mental health issues going on, and she is obviously not highly educated or of average intelligence. Without some form of therapy and mental health intervention, nothing is going to change. This woman appears to be very socially isolated, physically ill and poor. She has many factors that make her the perfect victim or mark for these scammers. You can have compassion and understand that she has underlying issues that make it impossible for her to stop. These guys are just hackers, they don't have the ability to help her with any underlying psychological issues, and they don't have the tact or training to deal with love addiction, etc. As long as she remains socially isolated (not to mention that she is not tech savvy at all), she has no outside source of purpose in her life. The people who are most commonly scammed are isolated and lonely. Whether you find her annoying or not is irrelevant. She could be your mother, your grandmother or your aunt. Understand now? Jodi is loving this. It’s sad. This is the most excitement, adventure, concern, and courtesy she has ever experienced. For the only time in her life, she’s traveling, flying on planes, seeing new places, meeting new people from all over the world. She is the center of attention. She wants it to last as long as possible, whatever the cost. She is the perfect romance scam mark.

I do have a little sympathy for her, a family member of mine was lonely for a very long time and that can cause a lot of mental issues and emotional problems that can really change someone. She really needs some serious therapy and probably adult protection services to get involved. Regardless of her opinions, these scammers need to be stopped… that’s why they are so persistent in helping. Her opinions shouldn’t be the main focus compared to a federal crime.
You don't understand what true racism is and white people are the least racist of all races. Every country of color can have a nation state and not be called racist yet in all European countries who are over run with multiculturalism are the racists.

I'd love to know what goes on in her head. There is obviously not much rational thinking going on so perhaps there is something that just overrides any doubts that the rational part of her brain give out. Perhaps it's some form of emotion. Just the way that guy was talking to her you could not detect any excitement or interest in his responses to her. Yet she seems totally unaware of this being weird.
