absolutely one of the best and most informative videos i've ever watched... wish i could like it 1,000,000 times! thank you so much for the time put into this and all of the insight provided.
22:32 onwards "It's not like you can put a pin in the market, and keep it there while you get out of your position" *_AMEN_* I've tried and tried and tried to tell people that for *_YEARS_* ... Many retail traders or non-market folks seem to have no idea the very BASIC WAY markets function. It's just an auction. It's as if the basic function of an auction is lost on folks ...
A great presentation. I wish the host’s voice was captured too. I wonder your comment about no retail algorithm traders are making money still hold true?
Thank you so much, your videos are some of the best on you tube. Do you offer any classes that are similar to coaching? Being at home trading really makes it hard to throw ideas around and have good feedback.
Spoofing. That's another one that absolutely grinds my gears. It's gotten so stupid, they're talking about legislating cancelling orders? What's next, if I go to a car auction like Barrett-Jackson, and bid on a car and stop bidding, I have to provide written documentation as to why I walked away from bidding on the car? Oh no! I spoofed!
Market making has become a bit of a lost art and I would agree it's hard for a retail trader to profit from taking 1 tick profit on market making type trades. Not because of the queue though but because of commissions. It is possible to make money scalping for a tick, there's nothing special about it - it's just another way to trade. SIM trading doesn't help much as you point out but a demo account on CQG has realistic enough fills.

+Sharpe Trade I hear you and agree 100%
In Sim one get rich with one single tick in the bid/ask trading, but live the retailer unfortunatly dies in the queue....

Un timo, no tienen brokers que les den un soporte.
