I picked up a second Infraction during all the early summer sales from Horizon ebay store for $448. It's got the new gray esc and new servo. I've not had any issue with the esc but I've had the truck take off on its own 2 different times right after turning the truck on. The craziest thing I've had happen to it was the steering reversed itself from one run to another. I went to drive the truck and it turned opposite. I had to reverse it on the radio. I honestly don't remember what batteries was in it when it did its crazy things. I have Spektrum and several other brands. I'll start paying attention now.
Buy both, upgrade the Kagama chassis, and upgrade the Kraton 6S arms. Overall the Kagama is overbuilt to not break, Kraton 6S when not overgeared has better handling and drives much better, the Kagama is all over the place on 6S, however, if you're bashing mindlessly it won't matter. I have driven them both.
I have the Kronos from 2020, I have to change the servo and radio. Nowadays I drive it with a traxxas radio from my bandit. I think it’s a great car. I also have bought the losi 8ight rtr that’s a very good car also. The Kronos is have changed the diffs and dampers, front rear diff 10000, center 100000, dampers front 600 rear 37.5. And it goes. Never done 70 mph.
I've gotten to 65 on my Kronos with my phone GPS and 68, later with a power hobby GPS. I have never hit 70 myself but also never been able to keep it down when accomplishing both the other speed runs nor did I have it wide open for more then a second. Then electronics in them are top notch in the RTR RC world for sure!
@@NPCRC when driving 55 it still pulls wheelies. I have a GoPro 8 I had put it on my losi end went to the street with 70 km/h, my Kronos needs a new motor bearing and piniongear then I go on the street with the Kronos.
i’m a corally guy through and through but just to be fair the kagama chassis is redesigned but only 6160 as well as the shock towers. but the arrma 7075 is not true 7075 but i believe still comes with a plastic center diff case. i hope corally comes out with a kagama xtr
I forget about that chassis sometimes... I have the XTR myself and know the Kagama is "upgraded" and knew it was not 7075... I called it upgraded chassis in the video I believe but I knew the towers on my XTR were better... I love my XTR but like the bracing and hinge plate holders better on the Kagama
new spectrum elec are faster they fixed the firm ware issue but the carally is much faster just up the stock esc fan to a higher rpm and good to go. i agree tho i wish they would have put a nice big bumper on
Just seeing customers come back talking about how the trucks are cutting off/ hitting LVC early, after being full throttle! They run normal on the Spektrum batteries or after we swapped to a non spektrum ESC, even with the non spektrum batteries
I swore you said at the end i will tell you what you can use as a front bumper for the Kagama? Still a great video, but if there is a part out there for a front bumper let me know please. I just had to order a new front skid plate due to a couple big chips off the front.
I really want a Kagama. I can't decide if i want to get the roller or rtr. Everything I've heard about stock TC electronics has been great but I've not seen them compared directly to the usual 6s HW or Castle aftermarket esc/ motor combo's. I'm one of the rare folks who has has good luck with stock electronics from Spektrum. I've been running the speed pinion on my Fireteam for bashing for over 2 years with the stock electronics.
the Corally Electronics go faster then the Spektrum stuff, stock for stock. Arrma's go about 50-55 stock and when you put the pinion on to get the speed on the box (65), it says to keep it on road. Corally hits a little over that out the box, no pinion needed!
Kagama has the higher groundclearence than Sledge and Kraton 6a, right? Website says it has 9cm while Sledge and Kraton have 5cm. Is this true? (Maybe they just measure it differently. ) Would this mean it is better on high grass and off-road, possibly handling worse?
I dont have a sledge in house at the moment but Kagama suspension is set nice out the box and sags a little when adding batteries so the ride height is pretty good and only flips over when turning while driving fast, from what I have seen. Same stance as my XTR and that handles turns well with belted tires.
So since this video I have found that there was issues that Spectrum and Horizon know about. If you contact them and describe to them what is happening, I'm told that you will get a program card which you can update the firmware via PC and then load it into the esc. The new firmware is supposed to fix the issue. I've done it once with a customer on his Kraton 4S but not the one I did a video on... that one we swapped the ESC and fixed it that way for the customer.... his was a new speed controller as well just he didn't want to deal with it after I cross tested it and show that there was no issue with a different ESC
I have a kraton 6s v5 ran once so far and my friend wants to trade me his kagama for it he also ran his once im tempted to do it because i wanted that kag ever since i saw it
stock Kraton, i'd take that deal! Kagama is built tougher, especially with the upgraded hinge pin blocks that are bolted to the chassis and bulkheads. Not to mention its faster out the box without the need of an "on-road only" pinion!
The aluminum bulkheads are nice on the new EXB but they still have thin plates mounted to them to hold the hinge pins. The Kagama has heavy duty hinge pin blocks that bolt to the chassis making the bulkheads very solid on the Kagama with just the plastic bulkheads. In addition to that you are faster out the box and even with the "speed pinion" that Arrma gives you, with the Kagama and the Diff cups and rear stub axles are stronger on the Kagama with the swiss outdrives. Kagama and save $90, IMO!
Both our awesome, but kraton is my win on this model,big rock 6s kraton 6s definitely 2024 winners , Kevin telbert beat the big rock and just would not stop, thanks for reviewing these vehicles.

I have both the Kraton exb and new Big Rock 6s and have had some issues with non spektrum batteries cutting out on both trucks.

better... the Torox 185 is a great ESC and Corally's electronics are always top notch... especially for a RTR
