Add one table spoon of water soulbe fertilizer NPK in 8 to 10 litres of water and apply to the seedlings .when seedlings take proper size after about 40 to 50 days of the sowing shift these to flower beds or big pots .
yes because petunia seeds need light to germinate .Petunia seeds are very small in size ( about 8000 - 10000 seeds per gram ) .So dont cover it ,otherwise you may get poor germination percentage .

@@agfursha39 well thanks....I sowed some petunia seeds in cocopeat and vermicompost......it's been 15 days but they are only a centimetre tall..... How do I ensure a better growth....they are hybrid seeds which I purchased online....please suggest
Dear Mausal Parsad , Keep in mind that cocopeat or vermiculite is just a media . It does not contain any nutrition . To ensure proper growth of the seedling apply water soluble fertilizer . Add one table spoon of NPK ( wate soulble ) per 8 litres of water. For the future try to use fine growing media like potting soil .

Normaly these dont require any thick covering Otherwise fail to get good germination percentage . If you want to cover it to maintain some moisture level around the seeds than cover it with fine perlite but dont burry to deep ,

So you just put in the seed and do not cover it with soil?
