Someday, when my crying's done, I'll wear a smile and walk in the sun. Such beautiful words for the most mild mannered singer in Norway. This song is from my mom's era and she freaked out when she heard it. Brought back so many memories of gone by days.
His voice and presence is the type that you didn’t know you needed until you listen to them. They may be overshadowed by seas of powerful voice, but they are always there and once a while to give you a refreshing break with calmness and joy from their sound.

We know. "Crying in the rain" is the only cover on album from a-ha. This is their version. They got to know The Everly Brothers via their manager, who had played with them in the 60s. As thanks for the beautiful version, the members of a-ha each got their own guitar in the style of the Everly Brothers, all from the same tree. The friendship between the members of the band and especially Phil Everly lasted until his death. On their farewell tour (which was not a farewell after all) in 2010, a-ha also played the Everly Brothers' "Bowling Green" as a tribute to their early manager, Terry Slater, who had co-written the song.

Best of an underwhelming night. Great tone!
The others all sang well enough and Cynthia's was more impressive but the song choices and emotion just left me feeling bored and disappointed. I don't know I guess I'm just feeling a bit depressed. The state of this world is messed up.
