What is very disturbing is that absolutely everywhere Muslims have gone, as their presence has increased, those countries have become Islamic and suppressed other belief systems. Islam and the West are incompatible. You cannot have both. You must choose.
Here in Denmark both the far-left and far-right are almost nonexistent because the Social Democrats (equivalent to the UK Labour) are tough on immigration, not least from the Middle East, just as there is now double up on the penalty for doing crime and gang violence in ghettos, and the no ghetto plan by 2030 that also include mandatory Kindergartens for small children so they get to learn the Danish language and culture, and cutting social benefits if their parents do no comply. All due to the Danish Muhammed cartoon riots of 2006 in the Middle East and following terror attacks, that was the eye-opener that changed everything in Danish politics. This also made the Social Democrats target Muslim private schools by removing their funding and prevented the building of a Grand mosque in the 2nd largest city. Btw, While Tommy keep getting arrested for no reason in the UK, he was invited to show his UK-banned documentary "SIL£NC£D" that actually premiered in the Danish parliament building Christiansborg Palace (Borgen) last year, where he also got to speak his mind about all this mess going on in the UK.
Denmark have got it perfectly. Unfortunately it’s not possible to retrospectively enforce mosque removals etc. so we must instead focus on educating the children.

In Canada it’s similar and is causing huge social divisions and the rise of a JD Vance-like far right party. While we have a big country, much of it is uninhabitable and we do not have the infrastructure or housing to support over 1.2 million immigrants a year (it used to be 1% of the population but is now 3.5) - and those are only the legal immigration numbers. We have a housing and homelessness crisis across the country but cannot discuss the issue of immigration. We have become self-censoring because anyone who tries to demonstrate a link between housing issues and immigration is accused of being a racist. It seems to me that Starmer's lumping together protestors and rioters as far right is a shoddy and desperate attempt at using a version of what's called a thought-terminating cliché, which is used to shut down debate. Unfortunately, once you understand the purpose of a thought-terminating cliché and can identify one, you gain an insight into the character of the person resorting to these tactics. Make of that what you will.
Oh yes, those people setting fire to that hotel full of what they believed to be asylum seekers were really just trying to sit down with them for a nice friendly debate... It's a cliché that setting fire to a building is a sign of aggression at this point. Was nothing but a friendly gesture.
@@GeniusWithAFlaw the argument is always "why here and not France etc?" or "why are they in hotels while our actual homeless people are on the streets". For the first one, our country has caused MORE THAN enough geopolitical turmoil (war) to displace a lot of these, so why do we not expect them on our shores? The latter, well it was the Tories who stopped asylum seeker claims from progressing so no one COULD be deported. Instead, they threw them in hotels (probably owned by their mates, but purely speculation). Sure, blame someone, the Tories... Not the people they've used as pawns (the asylum seekers)! @@MarKeMu125 My initial comment has clearly tested your semantic faculties, so I'll make this simple for you. My thoughts on political rhetoric have been partly influenced by Robert Jay Lifton's seminal book Thought Reform and the Psychology of Totalism: A Study of Brainwashing in China. This book is a must-read for anyone who wants to understand and decode dangerous socio-political rhetoric. Now that that's out of the way, it is undeniable that the rioters proper were opportunist criminals and far-right agitators. But, Keir Starmer's response had the clear intention of collectively labelling legitimate protesters and rioters as far-right thugs. This rhetorical device comes directly from the Chinese brainwashing manual: it is an attempt to induce feelings of guilt and/or shame by tarring every dissenter with the same far-right brush. Worse, it is an insidious rhetorical device with inculcation at its core that has far-reaching consequences regarding freedom of speech and freedom of thought. I hope this clarifies things, but I have a distinct impression that you have attempted to try this very same tactic, albeit amateurishly, by throwing in blatant non-sequiturs. It doesn't work with me; that should be obvious by now. My initial comment concerned the use of dangerous, sinister socio-political rhetoric. If you can't ably engage with this concern, then jog on.
The police and CPS are public servants they have a statutory obligation to charge the Muslim thugs who assaulted the Armed police officers at Manchester Airport. Labour don't see uncontrolled immigration has a problem. You think its bad in Britain now but if we keep migration at its current level our population will grow by over 5 million the next decade.
Having 5 million more people is fine, as long as 4 million of them are either working and paying tax, or paying for a British degree in our universities, and as long as they have somewhere to live. The UK has an ageing population (like Japan) because of fewer births than deaths. More elderly people need more NHS staff and more carers (leaving them to suffer and die unsupported is not socially acceptable). Japan is the top case study of a modern Westernised country that does NOT accept that immigration is the right answer to its demographic problems. Japan has a completely stagnant economy and has people working far beyond retirement age (particularly in rural areas).

My guess is most will be here on sponsored visitor/family visas as no English language requirement. Once here they abscond and the authorities don’t have the resources to track them down. They get established, many have relationships, kids and then it’s against their human rights to deport them. The cost to bring in a spouse and kid in via the 10 year legal route can be well over £30K which is why they go the illegal route. My wife is here legally via the 5 year spouse visa route, we have no kids but paid in excess of £15K for visas, NHS fees, English language and Life in UK tests, biometrics etc. Lot of money in it if you multiply the numbers of people coming in legally and I believe the fees have been increased significantly this year.

What I find most disturbing, is that the political class doesn't seem to have a clear economic objective. I don't think that Labour was fear-mongering, when they spoke about the 'black hole' in the economy. What buck were they passing exactly? I would rather be told an unpleasant truth than a pleasant lie. That said, where do we go from here?
They were aware of the blackhole before the election, the Institute For Fiscal Studies brought that problem to their attention, but they didn't want to address it because it wouldn't fit the narrative they were trying to push, so as to get elected, wouldn't of gone down well if they had said we will have to cut the winter fuel allowance and raise taxes before the election ! Common sense should tell you that, you've been gaslighted !
The black hole requires extreme measures t fix which will be very unpopular. This is why politicians won’t do it and the country will eventually collapse.
The objective is the illusion of economic growth. Unskilled immigrants raise the GDP and support the state pension, but only whilst they're able to work. When they get older and require pensions and medical care themselves, then even more immigrants are required. That's why in order for the economy not to crash, we need more and more immigrants year on year. A completely revised economic policy is impossible now, and Musk, whether by accident or intent, is exactly right. There is no other outcome than civil war.

You can keep on having endless discussions, keep on talking around the issue until you are blue in the face, there is only one way to solve the issue of immigration, once and for all, and that is to hold a referendum. The results of which will give everyone a clear, and definitive answer once and for all However, Britain will have no referendum, because government, whether labour, or conservative, would never dare to commit to something that they already know the answer to. The answer, would fly in the face of everything that both parties have been responsible for creating, which is an immigration disaster, of biblical proportions, which is tearing Britain apart. Of course the very last thing that Britain needed to help solve this catastrophic human nightmare, is a creature like Cur Starmer, a globalist politician first, and for most, who has absolutely no loyalty to, or respect for Britain, or its people. Economics tells us that we need migration in future to keep our living quality, here in Denmark. It might be true, but we need the right people so we ought to learn from countries like Canada and Australia. At the moment we have uncontrolled migration into all Europe. It is more than we and our social systems can cope. I don't know the solution - but hunting down people is absolutely not the way. As is riots not. How is it possible if scholars learn about democracy in schools? As voters we are supposed to be able to analyze life in general and politics in particular. And politicians have to ask them selves what they have contributed to trustfull relations with voters. I think political spin doctors destroyed the communications between politician og citizen both in Britain and Denmark.

We need doctors and nurses but we take in many fold of 'others' to fill the myriad of gig economy jobs , care home jobs and fruit picking jobs that UK citizens do not want to do. Why does the UK routinely object to doing lower status jobs and then call for foreigners to do them? Should these jobs pay more to attract UK workers? Perhaps. We need a debate because the population of the country has increased from circa 58m in 2000 to 68m in 2023 and we still have shortages and we still use immigration as a get out of jail free card. This cannot go on. In the past year our population has exceeded that of France but we have half the landmass. The UK cannot go on blaming others for its ills either. We have developed a real trait doing so.

Whenever someone says we must discuss the root cause of the trouble what they mean is you must accept my reason for the root cause.
Yes, it’s being discussed on X, Quora, social media etc but immigration numbers are still 10 fold what they were 20 years ago, whilst many from established immigrant communities (like Trevor Philips) say multi-culturalism has failed.

It’s high because British workers are more expensive or don’t want to do the jobs migrants are doing, and because parts of the Middle East and Africa are a mess. Frankly, harsh anti-immigration measures without addressing any of the above will just leave us with labour shortages in the case of conventional migrants and will never work in the case of the asylum seekers coming in boats.
@@keithparker1346 Maybe so, but just disallowing them to hire immigrants isn’t going to work.

We have a housing and homelessness crisis across the country but cannot discuss the issue of immigration.

Starmer should be made to talk about mass immigration because around 700s thousand is coming in net every year, that is the size of manchester and a half coming to the country every year. We are a small country with that amount is way way to much. We need to look after everyone of course and treat people all equally.
Why should he made to talk about it?
The 700,000 net migration was happening under a Conservative govt
@@RobinHarris-nf4yvconservatives and labour are to blame since 1997. I blame them both but let's see if starmer does anything 🤔
@@robertanderson6776 what does he need to do? The real problems in this country are standard of living not immigrants
1) Legal migration is restricted by a points system
2) Asylum seekers arriving by small boats can’t be stopped by a U.K. govt….it doesn’t matter what promises Farage makes…he wouldn’t be able to do anything
It does have a clear economic objective...increased immigration increases the labour pool which suppresses wages so they can make more profit

Let's be honest we all knew after Brexit that whether it was a Labour Government or a Tory Government they wouldn't get the migration numbers down instead we saw the numbers sky rocket since then. The country desperately needs a new party to rise up as both the Tories and Labour are incapable of doing what needs to be done.
Reform got 14.3% of the vote 😁
The economic argument for Brexit was all about exchanging low-income 'white European' manual labour for 'high-income', Asian and West African medical professionals, engineers and entrepreneurs.
It's hilarious that people think Reform don't want the ethnic demographics to change in the UK

Don’t usually think that Goodwin is a good representative of the anti mass immigration position, but credit where credit is due, he was strong here 👍
The only people that need immigration is big businesses and mortgage brokers who want to keep prices high. The average person in this country would be better off with less immigration. When is it going to end this obsession with growth. The politicians tell us we need immigrants for growth. What happens to the plan of growth when there is no more land to build on?

That’s what I keep thinking about - when there’s no more land either to build on or grow food, what then?
Capitalist right wing societies depend on growth. The opposite of growth is stagnation, recession, and then depression. Is that what you want?

@@edmurthlooking at your comments, you’re a barely literate troll.
You can keep on having endless discussions, keep on talking around the issue until you are blue in the face, there is only one way to solve the issue of immigration, once and for all, and that is to hold a referendum.
The results of which will give everyone a clear, and definitive answer once and for all
However, Britain will have no referendum, because government, whether labour, or conservative, would never dare to commit to something that they already know the answer to.
You don't put a wolf into the pasture, to protect the flock.
I think political spin doctors destroyed the communications between politician og citizen both in Britain and Denmark.

please stop talking about NET migration. That's the triumph of the 'no borders' nutters.
It's not the NET figure that matters, it's the GROSS migration numbers. Running at well over 1 million a year.
It's not about 'net' figures, nor even about 'gross' figures, it's simply about total 'churn', the sum of both incomings and outgoings.

Labour reversing the Rwanda policy.
Brexit - 'take back control'/'take back control of our boarders'.
Labour - only 11,000 Eastern Europeans will settle here (when Eastern countries join EU) , circa 2004/5.
Immigration is a mess like too much of the UK; the Conservatives over the last 14 years have run the economy badly.

If we’re going to have a serious discussion about migration, then we have to address why it’s high, which politicians never want to.
