Wow! I'm so glad they kicked Joey out of this band. I always wondered what these guys sounded like. Mickey said they let Joey go because he wasn't pretty enough. Thank God! This is great even though the band is pretty bad. Probably the best history I have seen on a Ramone in 20 years. Thanks for uploading this.

Yes. For minimal garage/pub rock, I’m diggin the psych/garage vibe. like the 101’ers who, had a “mod-sh”. However, Mick Jones and Paul Simonon “kidnapped” Joe Strummer, and the rest is Clash history! However, you are spot on, “Jeff Hyman” was born to be Joey Ramone! I’ve enjoyed the 101’ers the world needed the Clash, and the Ramones.

Joey was already set and made for stardom. The band was pretty lousy!
Why were they filmed? I guess, for a small TV show or something locally? I would love to know the story behind this video. As an aside It's amazing how much Jeff has his exact same unique vocal stylings from the Ramones - Before the band came together, even! He clearly developed it while singing to himself growing up. That's incredible. This video is precious, I've always been hungry to know what Jeff did in his glitter/glam days.
They were doing a joint gig with The Harlots of 42nd. Street at the New School, NYC…for a college course run by Michael Luckman pertaining to Rock music and Porn. The date was 1973. Sniper opened the show, Harlots were next…then a question and answer from the people in attendance.

The band is awful. Joey already had a plan though, you can hear it. He just needed a band that could keep up.

the original video along with the channel was removed because apparently someone who reuploaded it without improving any of its quality indicated that he had the rights to it, this one has the stereo audio a little clearer and the light and contrasts are better
