Probably Welles' best movie. This and Touch of Evil have such powerful atmospheres and sublime camera shots, Welles really understood Kafka's book to get all the small man against omnipotent bureaucracy portrayed greatly by Anthony Perkins.
Una vez me dijeron ..no golpee la puerta del cortijo pues saldrán señores que medirán su dignidad ...no vaya hacia el corredor de la desesperanza...no gaste sus últimas palabras...
This will probably go unanswered, but where can I watch this in high quality like this? The version on Kanopy is much worse quality than this clip and I don't believe the new restoration from late 2022 can be found online anywhere. Any help is appreciated lol
I watched and download it some years ago from a page called "Zoowoman" or something similar, which used to have a really big collection of classic movies. Sadly the page disappeared and i also irretribably lost the archive.
Now that i have looked for it, it seems that you can watch in high quality from "movies2watch.tv", write it on the page’s search bar, choose the movie from year 1962, and then select a server that works. I thinks there is even a download button on the video player.
@@leandroingrassia wow thanks, I didn’t try piracy because I figured the quality surely wouldn’t be better than kanopy lol. So ridiculous that it’s the best solution. Thank you!
This might sound a bit like a silly question, but all those people K. walks around on his way to court, overlooked by the covered statue, were they all sentenced to death and killed?
Havent watched it since, however i think it is open to interpretation. The way i see it is that after all that time those old people havent even received a definitive veredict that would convict them or free them. The system is too inefficient and all the burocracy just ruined their whole lives without having the dignity to give them a proper closure to the accusation. So they are traped in an eternal limbo, responding to the judicial system, until their natural deaths.
I saw it as a reference to the Shoah and as a reminder that our nightmarish visions -- our most paranoid experiences -- can be actually put into practice to make social reality like a living nightmare
@@rushmorechampionthat could be true. I had a feeling Zone of Interest was referencing the apartheid and slaughter of Palestinians and that turned out to be true so you may be right with your analysis too.

Brilliant movie and book
He aquí una de las escenas mejor lograda, Anthony Perkins is Joseph K. en persona, la atmósfera es Kafkiana, eran tiempos donde el cine era Arte.
According to Welles, K had something to answer for. For me, I stick to what Kafka wrote. This man is innocent.
Por estás pelis el cine es un arte! En los libros y en la vida...slds de Argentina
Genio absoluto Orson Welles...es la mejor peli de Kafka
None even move, but all laugh. Mad world
He’s guilty as hell!
