- On April 25, 2016, the Saudi Vision 2030 plan was made public by Mohammed Ben Salman. The Saudi Vision 2030 plan is a development plan put in place by the Saudi government which aims to move the country away from its historic oil revenue by diversifying its economy and resorting to various privatizations.

hello, 2 errors slipped into my video. First, there is the date 2083 which in reality is 2023. The second is the Noor solar power plant. This one is in Morocco and not in the United Arab Emirates. In addition, these are mirrors which reflect on the central tower and not the other way around.
I'm sorry.
no problem, keep up the videos :)
Still a great video. I'm looking to go out and work there soon
2083 might be accurate
AI fucked up there, aye?

They are saying only 2.4km will be completed by 2030. If they continue at that rate, it will take well over 400 YEARS to complete.
It's been scaled back because investors are concerned over some factors. So they will focus on completing the first module which is 2.4 KM, housing approx 300k people. If the execution met the expectation, then they might decide to continue with corresponding modules.
If a Harbour, an Airport and place to live is ready the test goes on much faster
Still an incredible achievement at 2400m
There's no achievement yet. Let's see what's actually done by 2030.@@everything777
It's still insane
"Last year we only saw holes in the ground"..... Great, now we see larger holes in the ground :)
And now &$$#0L€$
Not only! You can also clearly see a fancy neighborhood of Villas and a golf club right where the line is supposed to start.
Nuh uh there is more now holes through mountains
Seems like Saudia Arabia is playing SimCity.
Saudi is doing exactly what the pharaohs did 4000+ years ago. spending the wealth on ridiculous projects
Riyadh is not properly developed. Transportation is the biggest issue in Saudi Arabia. Neither there is proper housing structure like developed countries. Should have fix that issue first instead of building a new city in a ghost city.
Agreed
Mom whats outside the line
MOM: I don't know I never been there. There are many dangerous Animals so people dont go out. Here you are safe and have everything to live.
You probably only saw a render never entered the neom website.
Mom: don't go outside the line the Tusken raiders are out there..
@@zgredzi1you will live in ze line
You can't go out and it is surrounded by desert. Futuristic prison.
He really just said “8 thousand, 4 billion dollars”
approximately maybe who knows tbh
AI
The whole Line was designed in Minecraft and there is a possibility that in Minecraft it would be finished in 2030. Not a chance it is built in real life.
If it "should reach a speed of 510 kmph in two thousand and thirty years" then it only needs to accelerate at a rate of 16.5 meters per day. Fun fact a garden snail is about 1123 meters per day.
I'm glad someone else heard that. I thought I was tripping. I have 0 engineering background but I'm positive I could make something faster 😂
There is no way a snail is that quick😂
@@kevineleven1524 Maybe, looking it up online I saw it was .048 km per hour, so multiply it by 24000 for meters per day. I am comparing a maximum speed to an acceleration rate but still I think its safe to say the snail is winning this race one way or another.
@@justinmoore5158 lol true

Who would do such stupidity
They are going to build a brand new airport hosting 120 million people a year and work hasn't even started and do this all in 6 years???? Subway with technology that doesn't exist??? I think what's gonna happen is only a small portion will be build and these construction towns will become the slums that supply the workers and the small part that is built will be for tourists and the upper class.
“World leader in tourism” 😂
No alcohol, no western tourists.
They'll be just fine with rich visitors from Asia, the ME and some westerners who are happy not to booze for two weeks. There are plenty of those, I'm one of them.
@@celinepa8246yes because asian people doesn't drink lol..

I think the 9 million people goal is stupid. Part of me really hopes they make it half as long and succeed.
@@The_Quack_Dealer It would be 3 phases the first phase should be done in 2030 with 450 thousand goal
I honestly can't wait. I need my line now.
I think the line is very unrealistic. I assume this will be quiet expensive to live in but at the same time who wants to live in such a prison? Compared to all the places on the world it would come last on my list. Saudi is building it to become famous really quick after it has been sleeping for decades. In my opinion it’s not attractive and I have not seen many positive comments regarding the line. Alone cutting an environment into 2 is insane , all those animals which can’t pass anymore. As well the mirrored surface which will emphasize the heat around it and multiply it. I don’t know who came up with this shitty project . But good luck 🍀
I totally agree and also I don't any kind of futuristic mega structure thery are distopic
The idea of making this city already weird. Even if they succeed in making the city complete in just 50 years, they literally just wasting their money and who would want to live there? I mean, the city is very isolated tho and there seems like no way to go to the other city or how did you even get there.
City is became success only if that is a place for many people to live like working there, having many resources, good education, good healthy something whatever it is in english, and many more. The city feels like a place that just for traveling and not to live.
It's a bunker for all richest people in the world, for escape from nuclear war, poverty and a future deadly pandemia.
Will the ships be towed? Cruise ships running on diesel emit an incredible amount of thick smoke, smaller ships usually emit a lot of petrol fume how would they handle this if they have ship traffic running right through the enclosed building?
If the marina is actually this big, there would be multiple ships constantly going in and out.
may be they have fixed electric towing rails
This will never be built i dont know whats the porpuse of even start this but soon we will know.
Looking at the progress over several years, it's evident that only earthwork has been widely carried out so far. Saudi Arabia seems to underestimate the complexity of construction, which often leads to significant delays, especially with new project designs being attempted for the first time. From the outset, I was absolutely certain that the project would fail. It's not just about money; there are numerous issues such as unrealistic and absurd resource mobilization, inefficient processes, and low productivity within the Saudi system. Success is unattainable without a completely well-organized and highly efficient national system, coupled with a shift in Saudi people's mindsets.
Upgrading a country in a short period of time is not an easy task. Saudi Arabia is still not an attractive country to people around the world, and it will take a long time for that mindset to change. I hope that from now on, the Saudi government will take time, spanning at least 30 years, to implement realistic changes gradually, one step at a time.
Saudi is somewhat very serious about its future survival. Hence they are planning some things for livehood
they should do something useful instead of this nonsense
If they are really serious, they should improve the living standards of their existing cities
Fascinating thank you.
Video shows elegant architecture.
If they would just take all that money and put it in education - boy, their country would really advance leaps and bounds... But they would also probably understand they don't actually need monarchy to live good...
And I thought Dubai was the craziest project ever.
Why do you want ppl to fail? That’s like hater shit, I hope they succeed that shit is bloody amazing
looks good on paper, I will believe it when i see it.
Im somewhat confused did you keep using the year 2083 for the start of construction? Thank you. Could be an accent thing, Im English

You're channel is so underated!!! Kudos to the hardwork behind the videos🔥🔥🔥🎉🎉🎉👏👏👏
The vision of this particular man is not simply how he wants to build such a city but the control of the "imprisoned" within it. Don't forget his behavior towards those who didn't want to leave those places. He just wants the control!
Great! Now all the sheepies will always be in line👏
I see Tom cruise crawling all over this in next mission impossible
Where is all that water comming from as they dig
Funny money must be needed now as our gas prices just went up 40 cents a litre to support this idea .
thats why we need to switch away from oil as quickly as possible.
Dont buy it if you cant afford it
New update. It’s only a mile long lol
A Neom City project should be a special city. Living in Neom City will allow people to stay young. There is a very special device in the air that the people of Neome City breathe, and it helps them to live younger and healthier. If your life is worth more, come to Neome City. It will help you to stay younger. Defy Time Neome City!
Anyone talking about NEOM should be in special ed class.
Will there be an airport on one extreme end with a runway on the roof?
this project is going to fail so dramatically it's going to be hilarious, and I'm here for it
Why are you hatful ,,, no it’s doing well and progress in construction is going from better to better .
Saudi Arabia has already executed some tribe people living in the desert and has given decades long prison sentences to others for refusing to relocate and give way to this project. Not to mention how SA routinely uses slave work and violates human rights for their construction projects. Anyone defending this atrocious projects developed by this tyrannical government needs to seriously reevaluate their position@@FS-eh4dj
HFSP
Because SA has already executed several people for refusing to relocate and give way to this project, and has also condemned others to decades in prison for the same reason. Not to mention how they use slave workers to develop this projects where human rights are constantly violated. Anyone who doesn't hate this project should seriously rethink their position@@FS-eh4dj
the only reason i want it to succeed is so people like u will be proven wrong.
If ever was a project that screamed Hubris … it is this. Already they have ditched almost 170km of the original planned work.
Nice thanks

Hello @@ExploreYourArchitecture
If they somehow pull it off, i don't think humans will built anything like this for next 200 years. The closest i can imagine are ISS, JWST, Burj Khalifa.
This is insane 😳 Hopefully it works! 🙌
Is this a big prison or what?
suport respect movie made....Salout the proyect NEOM still on schedule-development etc...Thank You....!
they need more workers.
Way to ambitious!!!
I truly hope they succeed, but something tells me they're gonna run out of money 💵 sooner than later!!!
I hope im wrong 🤔😒🥵🥴😵💫😵💀 😅😅
I hope they make it as long 4.5 million people is a lot.
Somewhat, im just hoping this can be done. It will be amazing. Some peoples just instantly mock this just because theyre arab. For me mars project still more impossible than this, and however i still hope both succeed. I just wanna see them, amazing
money is the least problem...as an engineer i can tell u this will not be built...it is a scam to show that they r working on it, for investment...but from engineering and architektual side this is NOT possible to build...theoretically possible, but with huge cost on a side of safety and functionality...
@@kresimirpetti1015 tbh they still can make part of it, then later we can come again for mocking if they completely do nothing or failed haha. But still some of their concept is good enough, not 100 percent imagination
Also, saudi is having many free things nowadays. Even moslems through world can go school there for free AND also get monthly living cash. And so many things free, if you do try travel there. So i think money is not really a problem to just build part of it. The problem is more about technologies and technical issues
This is so stupid😂
Everyone on the world wants to live in a desert governed by the holy Saudi king.
The cost estimate is so off its likely approved by a 10 gen cousin marrages.
Не )) никогда. Они своих наверное заселят
By the time this is actually complete (if at all), the first built parts will be like living in the ghetto with how much more technology will advance by then.
I always love it when humans put their heads together to build and construct the impossible.
Wish we could start building space habitats by beginning a research on new types of gravity...
Butuh karyawan banyak. Minta ke indo, china, india. Biar lekas terhujud.
Whats average daily temperature 45c
Actually it should be no less than 450 meters, otherwise it will buckle.
What a waste of time money and effort
many people doubt the project. it will succed but i think only 10-20 stories height. not 500m meter tall. for the length easy to go to 100 km . in a year 2070-2100
5:10 That's not how it works... The ground panels are mirrors and reflect the sun into the tower, boiling water and driving a steam turbine generating electricity.
Where did they get this narrator
Line height should be decrease to 100 meter maximum from 500 meter and the width should be enalarged by ten times also the 170 meters should be broken into 1km to creat interval for roads, water supply, for multiple swage treatment plants, for open green areasfor electeic bus and car roads etc
no? thats inefficient use of ground
Because they don't have enough space in the dessert?
Or, they just cut the line in half 4.5 million people living there is still a lot.
Maybe not build a stupid city in the middle of the desert at all.
btw they dont want roads in there, its gonna be inaccesable for cars, so making it wider and flatter is just gonna cost more because of transportstion, while if its thinner and taller, you only need stairs or elevators and a single railway going back and forth
December 2083 has yet to come
Reminds me of the ciry un the desert that ended up in ruins in Deus Ex
Really good video
Will it have a sewage system?
Or are they're going Burj Khalifa mode?
One hundred percent renewable energy powering this thing is a joke for a start.
Disgusting dystopian nightmare

I hope they have maintenance in mind when building . Bc this is alot of resources to waste
red sea international is 150 miles away from the line
and people actually believe ellon musk is the richest person in the world
Can you imagine trying to move into a place there !??! all personal property better be provided or stores for everything??? How will supplies be delivered when there's no access roads etc? SO many questions
You’ll own nothing and be happy
Big ships can pass through and most of all is being anout self sufficient
If you have many questions then maybe it’s a stupid idea 🤣🤣🤣 living in a line… how stupid can a dictator be
More stupid the people who will accept to stay in these prisons and let go their freedom.
🤦🏻♀️ watch the first videos made... your questions are answered in them! Of course there's stores in it smdh😂😂😂
Your AI cant read numbers
I’m blown the fck away
how is progress... we have a hole in the ground.
People get killed by the security guards of "the line", because they refuse to leave their villages (like Sharma) and blocking "the line" One victim is called Abdul Rahim al-Huwaiti. Even the former group captain Rabih Alenezi had to flee to the UK, because he doesn't wanna use violence to make space for "the line". Shame on Mohammed bin Salman.
I didn’t know there were villages on the way
That's s cool
What if they built it and they don’t come ? Why states should not built anything. They don’t value opportunity costs. Waste of money. That amount of money 500 billion dollars could spent far wiser with much better returns.
Pharaonic project for sure
Why the fake thumbnail?
no it will not... the Line is complete nonsense
they gotta do something with that sand
