I love the progression Deftones made over the past years. From these songs of boredom, frustration,skateboarding and getting high, to the songs on koi no yokan that make you feel like you're floating in the outer space, Deftones provide it all.
I think what you said can be summed up in one word, maturity. Learning that life has more than skateboards etc.
this song is actually about his drinking addiction. the part about getting bored is how he thinks the world is much more interesting when he's drunk, and how he wishes that life wasn't so boring being sober

Best song ever. I went to see them in like 94 or 95 in Detroit in a basement of an old building. Best concert I ever attended. I thought Death metal was the best thing ever until Deftones came along.

I'm so old now. I grew up when they were coming up. It is very different because I listen to their latest stuff Which isn't as anxious as their beginnings. From teen to old age crazy. Glad i made it this far. I grew up with Deftones. I don't have the same angst that I did when I was eighteen I still love this song, but it Definitely hits different at 43. 🖤

I bought this CD on a recommendation by a DJ I knew who spun at many of the raves back in the 90's, never looked back.
it is weird though, that out of my group of friends (surfers and skaters) I was just about the only one of us who truly loved this band.
most of the others would ask me to play something else whenever I put this on.

This reminds me of way back in the day. I was in L.A, visiting my cousins in Sacto.. and them showing me this. Back then, Deftones were playing free shows in local parks. My, how times have changed.

I was raised watching this on MusiquePlus. Then I bought the album in 2003, not too sure why but vaguely remembering the name"Deftones". Then I bought every other Deftones album. The only band ever to NEVER disapoint.
