Loop a rubber band or hair tie around the jean button, through the button hole, and back around the button. It gives you a couple extra inches and stretches for more room.
The jeans would be good to cut up the good parts for a quilt or patches or even patching together a patchwork garment of some kind. Or donate it to a charity that uses material to restyle or quilt. ❤
Hi Gabbi. You may already know this, but if those VHS tapes are video of family and not just movies, you may want to get them pu onto something more permanent, like DVD, CD, or external hard drive. VHS tapes degrade and you could lose all of the precious content on those pretty soon. Same with pics that are on slides and picture negatives.
Denim can be recycled. A simple Google search can let you know if there's a facility in your area, some will pay shipping because they're turning it into insulation and they're paid on that end.
Quilt store, quilt guild, free site and mark for crafting. Would make a nice pieced shop apron. Somebody might use them for painting. People make nice quilts and even use the pockets and seams.
My Aunt makes jean blankets & bags. Every time I take it to the beach everyone asks where to get one. If someone does the same - they'd love that. According to my Aunt "The backs of the kneees are always still good" as well as the back pockets
Hi Gabbi watching you from Scotland, you remind me of me when I was young. Jeans are not so comfortable when you’re pregnant anyway , I remember wearing large dungerees when I was pregnant and they are really comfy ❤

If there is a fabric store that teaches sewing, or quilting they may love having all that denim. They could cut squares out of them or edges to finish the quilt. It would even be cute made into stuffed animals.

hopefully there is a textile recycling service in your area, that is the ideal place for unwanted/undonateable denim

Gabby, please don't stack records on top of each other! The weight can crack the vinyl😮. It's better to stand them up and store them vertically

Maybe the good denim sections can stitched together and upcycled into a thin floor carpet or a bike cover or a dog bed cover or a picnic carpet/rug.

I cleaned out my bedroom closet this weekend. Whew! It was a project but so glad to be done with it!
Jeans for sewing projects, as already mentioned, but they also can be recycled into attic insulation (by a company). Great job on the closet.
Old jeans can go to Goodwill as they do textile recycling or drop at H&M-they recycle old clothes.

I use pieces of old jeans to make various craft projects. Two friends give me clothes or I go to 1/2 price day at a thrift shop. Tina, Al's wife
