The game looks rad, bit I have a nitpick about the visual presentation: the "+3" "+4" is just objectively wrong how they're using it, and it should be "3+" "4+" instead. Using "3+" is clear as _"3 or higher"_ because the "+" is a shorthand for all the _following_ numbers of higher value. Ex: "3, 4, 5, or 6" which is like using "≥3" whereas the "+3" they're using is typically something that would be adding to that value of the dice placed on that square and a "-3" would reduce it. Especially with the use of equals signs to restrict dice placements between two boxes, it's even more odd messing with the standard mathematical expressions, where "+3" would JUST mean "positive 3" and the dice would have to be _exactly 3_ rather than also being anything of a higher value. Even once it's clear that it's actually intended as a restrictive requirement, "+3" feels more like it would be specifically something that is *ONLY larger than three* like ">3" _rather than three AND larger_ "≥3" which is what it intends to mean. While a bit pedantic, there are specific reasons why that shorthand is consistently written the way that it is, but especially in games like this. (As someone whose job it is to verify that shorthand annotations like this are able to be correctly read by screenreaders, text to speech, and other assistive technologies, it's always particularly obnoxious when I see arbitrary misuse of established conventions like this).
Same. At first I thought you were supposed to add them together or something... I don't know. It took a couple minutes for me to figure out how the game actually works. @@tenebraebr
Tom thank you for making awesome videos! You find the coolest games and have such honest appreciation for good design and give everyone a chance. Thanks for being so cool!
Wow! I super loved that one honestly and wouldn't mind some more playthroughs. Also, daily request for more long form content, or possibly a second channel where you upload unedited or minimally edited content so it doesn't add much of a workload, gets you some extra subs, and scratches that itch for those of us that don't mind you dissapearing for 15 minutes to go cook or use the bathroom on your recording, but have a hankering for longer/multiple plays of stuff 😅
Daily reminder that Tom is an amazing person and to thank him for all he has done/will do - Day 1517 DICE TIME WOOOOO, HELL YE BABY OOO, now this game is indeed really cool, a kind of combination of Dicey Dungeon and Peglin to me in a way XD ha ha, but ye, the technical way the game lets you do certain combinations is really cool. Hearing about Tom's save at home, I would love to see more of this game :D My god, that ending XD ha ha ha, god, amazing
So happy to see tom branching out into new game types. Can't believe we're finally getting an indie dice game.
That final move was ace!
Tom usin' that "I win." button to great effect at the end. Pro-gamer moves.
I love how Tom misread the description of the final boss - and then never got to see them in action anyway. What a stupid and fantastic last battle.
Seeing "+5" instead of "5+" was so confusing
Yup. It took me about 5 minutes to figure out what the hell was going on.

They could also just use "≥".
Honestly, it took me a while to understand that. Had it been 3+ I'd get faster. Well spotted.

What a... dicey dungeon!
If there are dice, a Tom shall find them. And he shall roll them. *ALL* of them. More dice, more good. Bam!
Man, that boss fight was something else...
That boss fight was absolutely amazing.
Why did they write "+3" instead of "3+"???
+3 is "add 3".
3+ is "3 or more".
This is such a unecessary piece of confusion.
i can't believe that worked on the final boss
That ending was great
That font reminded me that I should get back to Slay the Spire eventually.
Reminds me a lot of the board game "one deck dungeon". Pretty cool!
There's an app version too which this is very inspired by.
@@anomalousresult oh tnx I'll check that out

Tom coming in with the big dice energy.
The most perfectly structured anticlimax

This game is cool! Reminds me of this board game called one deck dungeon. The whole game fits in a phone box sized box! It’s 1 player or 2 player too
This was sure looking DICEY at the start (has everyone said that?) but you really got on top of it later. Well played.
Makes me want to play dicey dungeons
it took me till the ending card to figure out why it's called right & down & dice XD
Why do I feel like that ability will no longer be able to kill the boss after a while

imagine being the boss and tom waltzes in with a big ol' fuck you button lol...
Pretty cool game.
yes
I’m irrationally annoyed that this game isn’t called Down Right Dice.
dice!!
You could have done it at 12:54
Buff G1 to a G4, G4 and R4 for the Equals slots, then the G5 and R6 for the 4+ slots
Play more!
Come on, Tom. "Dice" is plural. "Die" is singular. The game even uses correct terminology.
Ummmmm... Actually the definition of dice has changed to mean one or more dice
Well that's dumb. Definitions shouldn't be changed because people are ignorant. @@taylorbrecht8049
@@taylorbrecht8049 Show me a dictionary that has that change, and I'll believe you.
