Anyone who has just discovered this site I suggest starting at.the very beginning..You are in for a real treat. In my opinion this new and modest channel is the most inspirational and well done I have seen. have learned so much watching. Thanks
Hi George, great to see where you create the magic, I still don't know how you find the time to do everything you do, just amazing. I love your idea of doing a project based on a Hornby Trackmat or similar, would be really good to see your version of it. Congratulations on winning the Modelu Photo Comp, some really nice pics there but yours was the fitting winner, which I voted for of course. Looking forward to seeing more great vids from you in the New Year. "Happy New Year" to you and your family and your beautiful cat.
Great to see your work space. I think the hornby trackmat is a good idea, interested to see what you can do with it. Wishing you and the family a very happy new year. Look forward to more of your helpful and interesting videos in 2024. All the best George 🍻🍾
Hello George, I’ve only just discovered your channel. My girlfriend bought me a copy of Railway Modeller magazine for Christmas and I loved the article about your Corris layout in there so I decided to subscribe to your channel, I’m so glad that your wife and her friend persuaded you to start it. You have an excellent ‘eye’ when it comes to recreating nature, this is something that I sometimes feel is lacking a bit in a lot of layouts that I see. I don’t actually have a layout of my own, this is mainly due to lack of space, however your Corris layout has proven to me that maybe I could have a small layout and still make it interesting. I’m very much looking forward to watching all of your videos, my partner and I both think your models are amazing. All the best and Happy New Year. Howard.
Nice, it was interesting to get a tour and also a surprise to learn that we share an interest in modeling the DHR! Most people I speak to about it have never even heard of it. Congrats on winning the Modelu photo competition and happy new year 🍻
When it comes to the hornby starter layout idea, it might be interesting to see your interpretation of it. For example if you have an issue with the track plan maybe you could change it but only using the pieces in the extention packs. Or change the location of buildings. One of the worst bits about it for me is the fact the big station on the layout accessible on by a siding with radius 1 curves on it. So some locos especially BIG PASSENGER locos are to big for the curves and coaches also look ridiculous
Another great video. I always like to see other modeller's spaces and see how they organise things. In the same way I like seeing under baseboards, control panels, etc. Magazines don't seem to like showing behind the scenes but as a modeller, rather than just an admirer of modelling, these are just as interesting. Looking forward to seeing more videos in 2024.
Thanks for the awesome video this week it would seem all hobby’s are the same with loads of draws full of your hobby stuff mine is all salt water fish tank gear oh and dart frog stuff and maybe one day oo9 model railway stuff as well when am brave enough to dive in 😅😅 all the best for the new year to you and your loved ones
@@GWilliamsonModels And I praise you for your hard work! It's a shame it'll be one the last commissions you'll do, but I hope in the future you'll do commissions again! :)
Interesting video George, as for how do you get it all done the old saying " if you want something done ask a busy person" stands up well. Happy New Year to you and yours 😊
Yeah, you can’t have a tidy workplace, you’d never get anything done 😅 the only reason my room looking tidy on this was I had a massive clean up on Christmas Eve, it won’t last
While I never expect much I was happy to see my question answered. Just asked since my favirote OO9 modeler is a George and my favirote musician is a George.
Must have missed the call for Qs… oh well. How can your paints be so tidy, but your tools all over the place LOL?😂 HNY mate 🎉. So long and thanks for all the vids.
I put it at the end of the last video, and as a photo upload, you must have been busy 😉 I tidy that bloody drawer every other day, but the 2 year old tends to fiddle around in it, so it doesn’t stay tidy for long!
Lovely video as always mate! Was really interesting to hear more about what got you into modelling, quite inspirational! As a heads up George Harrison is a member of The Beatles! Great vid mate keep it up!
Cheers, yeah it’s funny how it was kind of an accident, that kit was a ‘Rodney stenning’ sir Haydn, and I didn’t even know that kits were a thing until it arrived! I’m sure I’ve still got photos of it somewhere! Yeah, luckily I missed Beatles mania 😂
Wot? No pooddy tat? For someone who's a 'scenery' bloke, you don't half turn out some lovely looking stock. 🙂 With you on the DMU reasoning. I've still got a soft spot for the 103s, a few of which carried the Cambrian custom (red) buffer beams, last time I was up thataway. Shame there's only 1½ of 'em left. ☹ Now the Glyn Valley seems more alive than dead ..... and using a sensible guage ..... is that close enough to you to get on your approved list? Edit: Where are my manners? Happy New Year to you and yours ... and do please feel free to keep the superb videos coming. They're very much appreciated.
@@GWilliamsonModelsReally sorry to hear that George. Our furry friends are always a big part of a family. I'm now at an age where another cat would quite likely outlive me! Hope your daughter is OK, as it always hits kids hard, especially an animal who'd been around longer than themselves. Nice to see your Crimbo model doing it's thing on the shelf there.

That’s lovely to hear, Thankyou so much
Congrats on winning picture of the year at ModelU.
Thankyou! Can’t believe it
Congrats on the Modelu photo win, obviously many like me went for yours, although all the photos were superb.
Thankyou, yes I agree, second place was an awesome model. It’s what I would have voted for if I wasn’t in it!
So happy to see The Little Pointy Thing making a first class appearance!
Love that lil guy. 🤣👍
Yeah I panicked a little bit when I couldn’t see it 😂

Thankyou, yes I think the track mat would be an interesting one to do, as so many beginners use it - we will see!

Yes I agree, since it’s such a common thing for people to use when they start out in the hobby, but it never looks that great

That’s lovely to read, and I’m so glad you both enjoy my modelling!
Nice to see behind the scenes! Hope you and your family had a great Christmas 🎄 here’s to another year of modelling inspiration 👍🏻
Cheers mate

Thankyou, yes I’ve always love the DHR, it’s got such good contrasts between scenes that would really lend itself for modelling

Yes I agree it’s an interesting thing to see ‘behind the scenes’, makes you feel a bit better about your own mess 😅
At my visit to Aberystwyth I bought a wall decor of Llewellyn. Still have it on the wall. Hope he is still going strong.
Sounds like a great memory

Yeah I used to be into fish keeping aswell, and had a similar setup in my drawers for that 😅
I saw a glimpse of my commissioned model!
That was filmed before the lining and details were added Scott, it’s looking a lot more complete today

Great to see you and answering questions. Does your wife have any modelling interest at all .
Nope, not at all 😂
