i admire the hard work and old school technique used to make that car, its nice to know that people still use hand tools and take time and pride in thier work and not realing on some machine to do the work for them...good job guys
Great job id love to have the tools an time to do things like this we should all get into our shops an drive ways an build something ,that shop looks like its seen alot of work come an go i was raised in an old greasy shop like that i used to hate it ,being all greasy all the time going into town to get parts anseening everyone elese around me all clean.. Now i miss it i wish id spent more time being into what my father was teachin me about automechanics it was the best time we spent together.
You mean hacksawing apart and tacking welding it all back together? The concept is good but I wouldn't label anything I saw here as crazy wild skills. Good enough to get the job done, yes.
racerx143 I make you right .... What I class as crazy wild metal working skills is making a complete scaled down E Type jaguar front end replica from flat sheet metal panels like my pal did, I'm not dissing these guys cuz they're probably capable of far more but what they did here isn't that hard.
I really like the look of it. I am wondering if there is enough clearance for the front tires to turn fullly? they look like they might rub if the wheel is turned too much
Yeah... It is a way to feel more confortable. Specialy if you are a poor mecanic. :-) And, There are some regions in Brazil (like Rio, for example) that people use it all the time. But if you go to São Paulo, you rarely is going to see anybody using it!
What concerns me is the fact they don't invest in a pneumatic system for their tools. You can get a lot more done and they last longer. Sawing, grinding and cutoffs are a breeze. They could even paint that unfinished lump so it resembles something.
