I did too and especially since they just told us about their own dogs and goats taking a stroll chasing after something yesterday! I bet those 2 animals were the ones Jason's dogs were a chasin!

I totally get where you're coming from running into other people's animals. I remember many many times going with my dad to chase down runaway cows or a bull who thought it was greener on the other side of the fence or whatever, lol it was never a dull moment on the farm

@@FRAMILY860 as a homesteader, time is and can be 15 minutes. And Yes I do. I have watched Jason from his first UA-cam video. And he has time everyday to commit to a garden that will feed them. The commit was because of his talking about cucumber's dipped in wax, so grow your own was my point.
You came off a rude the way your said that to me. We all have very busy lives, on the farm or city life. Jason is always saying if you want something, just get it done. As they are trying to eat healthier, grow some veggies.

I was driving down a gravel country road once and a steer was just bookin' down the road. I knew where he was from and let them know. A horse once running down a paved 2 lane also. Sheriffs' car right behind him. I live on the edge of town and nothing but farms around for miles.

Plant some tillage radishes to soften up the ground airate it and feed for the livestock and improve nutrients in your soil, cog hill couldn't even use a auger to put in fences their ground was so hard and now it's so much better

I have chickens ducks geese guinea fowl turkeys 7 goats 3 sheep and 11 pigs and I don't have the issues your having there but I do use welded wire on all my gates so the goats can't escape also everything is fenced in as well eventually you will get all the things done that you need to get done and they won't escape on you either
Just buy a veggie brush, either lemon juice in the bottle or fresh, and then some baking soda, mix the lemon juice (about a tablespoon) and baking soda in a bowl of water, and then wash your veggies, and use the brush for things like apples and cucs. Will take less time then peeling them, plus the peel on cucs, along with the seeds, are where all the nutrients reside in cucs. So keep the peel on them for the best use of them. How we have had to organize our inputs, logistics and shipping/ harvest schedules to ensure the safest and feshest produce get to the customerand now APEEL can get the same ORGANIC CERTIFICATE with an undisclosed list of ingredients. Cucumbers are very easy to raise!
The cucumbers & apples etc need to be washed & scrubbed with a vegetable brush in white vinegar/ water solution!!! That wax has MSG in it, which for some people causes migraines, high blood pressure, & diarrhea!!!! Years ago salad bars & Chinese Restaurants put it in foods. MSG was banned in several states. 💜
@marilynfdavis891 MSG is a flavor enhancer so i doubt it would be in the wax.

We live in the country and my neighbor across the street has 40 sheep and they get out all the time and my other neighbors dogs get out. It’s country life. My pigs have gotten out. It happens. People need to stop Criticizing everybody it’s ridiculous.

There must be a problem with how you all put up fences in that area. Where I come from my neighbor has a herd of minature goats and LGDs that never get out. They have a perimeter fence a chicken couldnt get through. Must be the wire or fence posts that are the problem down there. Cant think what else it could be. Use cattle panels with the smaller holes at the bottom. If that dont work nothing tastier than BBQ goat on the grill, I think you said to someone commenting last week, Jason.

I came outside Monday and found 3 kunekune pigs in my yard. There are very few farms around me, checked with all of them. No owns igs. They wondered off to the woods, today when they came thru was on 2 of them. I think the wildlife claimed one of them. When y husband gets home I'm going to have him look around and fence them if he finds them. There not very old
It's part of country life. We are constantly having some sort of twilight zone homesteading life. Last summer our mini mule escaped and was crossing the road. I spent a good minute chasing her back lol 😅 it has nothing to do with being a bad homesteaders. Animals will find a way lol
your goats "discharge" was showing that she's in "heat"... that's why the billy came by.... they can smell that odor for MILES... lovely guard dog is just guarding his roaming billy ... you should start counting the days... :-) never ending saga...
