Attended culinary school after high school and did 3 years in baking. Worked at countless bakeries and restaurants. But i will never forget working at this bakery in LA owned by a Jewish man. We made everything, and i mean everything from scratch. He was a wholesome man. He raised his son in the bakery. He would be rolling dough in one hand and carrying his son in the other. It was an awesome experience and i miss those times.
Yeah in reality, most often times the least fascinating and lamest answer is the correct one, how when a normal people sees this video they see the dedication and hard work and magicalness of all the handwork and movement and close up amazing textures of the bread that honestly is more unrealistically beautiful even more so than real life when it’s really just the camera and the whole art and process of “cienatography”
Admiral Aokiji btw I love one piece, but I kinda grown out of long 24 minutes of painstakingly sitting there and watching as little to nothing happen, the progression is too slow for my liking to put simple, but I still watch a lot of like montages where it’s basically watching the anime but sped up, tho it’s a lot shorter, I still prefer it, it covers the action and good parts I would say pretty well and makes me pretty satisfied and happy afterwards

Yes that's true, looks so professional and actually it is but it's wrong. Spread the flour in that way is the best way for the bread but the worst for you own lungs. In a long run you will get asthma and other lung disease. And I'm telling that for experience. I'm still a baker but I cannot spread the flour like that because after a while I cannot breath normally anymore. Of course you will not see these symptom in a year or two but after a life doing this job you'll notice it.
I am a 13 year old and I recently started making my own bread. I absolutely love it, the process and just everything in general. It really shows me that time is crucial and I can even say that this helped me a lot with my sleep schedule. Waking up as early as 4am just to start making bread, hearing the birds chirp and the sun not even up. Complete silence (Unless I see a spider on my bowl) It's stress-relieving and I highly recommend baking your own bread. Baguettes are the best!

I can't explain it. I don't have words to describe how much I love making bread. I went to engineering school and drop the last semester. That wasn't what I want it to do all my life. I changed to psychology and ended up going to grad school for clinical psychology. About two years ago I found out my Hebrew roots and I started making challah for shabat. I haven't stopped since and baking bread it's all I want to do. I enjoy the engineering skills in precision and science that goes around making a perfect bread: precise measurements, desired temperature, friction factor, starters, sourdough, ancient grains, milling your own grain, preferments, wild fermentation, I can go on, and on. And then, caring for that dough. Creating the workable dough takes a lot of caring. I love the feel in my hands when mixing. I love how it feels when it is developing gluten strength. I love every step into creating the brands. My favorite part is to see it grow in the oven. I fell like I'm giving birth every time a loaf comes out. It's like a baby for me. I love baking because your not only making food, your making memories and if you sell your baked goods your sharing those memories with other people and in turn helping them make memories
Daequeef Homemade bread is going to have less preservatives than commercially produced products, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's unhealthy for you. Preservatives are only meant to extend the shelf life of perishable food such as bread or canned veggies/fruits.
Yeah, and then when you do you realise how hard and life-consuming not only owning a business is, but having to work from times like midnight or 3am, to bake every day, meaning you can't have a "normal" work/life balance. Baking is hard as fuck, and doesn't pay well at all.
I got so emotional and I'm literally crying right now! This is so beautiful... Imagine being in France, sitting in an authentic simple yet beautiful cafe, having some of these freshly hand-baked breads along with a nice strong hot cup of coffee with soft jazz music playing in the background......wow
Before I started baking, my goal for several years was to be an engineer. Since I was 7 years old I guess? It runs in the family. When I was around 13 or 14, I just found myself doing pastries and baking some bread. I was like “ oh wow this has turned to be my hobby”. I realized it was all because of those apples in the fridge, I’m the only one who’s eating it. (No one bakes in our family.) I was like, “I can’t binge apple, maybe I’ll make an apple pie.” I jokingly told myself, lol like seriously I have never tasted apple pie before (I’m not an American so I guess that makes sense). Then later on I found myself searching for recipes and made it. Then I kept doing it for the next days, so I’m not the only one who’s eating apples. Then I tried different pastries. I just love the process of making it and I don’t know, even though there’s so much work to be put in this I never complained about it. And now it was my passion. So yeah, I’m thanking those apples who happen to be in the right time at the right place. Haha
Andrew Maksimovich xD, you can do both. Like take engineering in college then become a home baker or take a one year course after you graduated. Other than baking, I also have a bunch of other passion such as writing, arts and playing several musical instruments (guitar, violin, lyre, ukulele, flute). It’s pretty hard to keep all of them but I can manage since I love doing this stuff. So if you really love those two, pursue both of them, who knows what life might have in store for you. Goodluck!❤️

So many various cultures, religions, and races of people make their bread in their own unique ways. It’s the perfect food to blend people from different backgrounds! Gonna hit my friends up and ask for the perfect babka recipe ☺️ much love ❤️
Dana Cherlin right it’s like a hidden treasure. You’d only ever discover it if someone from that culture ,who grew up eating it, introduces you to it. But it’s amazing. Hands down, it’s in my top 3 favorite desserts of all time. I’m so sad I’ve neglected it for all these years lol.

Your comment makes me very happy, and I think Tolkien had the right idea with, "If more us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world."
They aren’t cute not all of them at least
Is that why the aliens haven't killed us yet?
I love artisans in different platforms. Their hands seem gentle, creative, sincere, and warm. I admire them all.
The best bread making video ever made, editing masterpiece.
It’s truly amazing
"I used to work in a bank but it wasn't fun anymore so i bacame a baker."

"One Baker can feed thousands of people!" Wow! Respect! 👍
Making dough is really one of the more satisfying things in life- not really a baker, but its fun xD
Love the camera work, especially the slo-mo when he throws the flour xD

For me making bread and homemade butter is so fuckin satisfying. I plan to make cheese soon and i think that will be too :D

Pro tip : when you are making bread as a beginner, oil everything in a radius of 50km, so it doesn't stick
50KM????
@@anniethai3180 what? You wouldn't want your bread to stick, right?

Whenever I'm stressed i would always find myself watching this video. For some reason watching people bake bread takes my stress away, it so satisfying.
I hope you will find your happiness
You should start making some yourself. Takes even more of that stress away. And it is very rewarding cutting into that loaf that you made by your own.
Whenever I’m stressed I make bread, needless to say my house is filled with bread, help

I love baking because your not only making food, your making memories and if you sell your baked goods your sharing those memories with other people and in turn helping them make memories
Happy To Mad Exactly! Food is so much more than simply eating. It’s about sharing passion, community, and culture. It’s a beautiful thing.
Happy to mad that is the best comment I've ever read
Idk why, but this had me in tears right near the end. The video was so beautifully made, and the people have so much joy and pride in their work.
I bake bread for years because it's much healthier and more delicious than the bread from the grocery store. Thumbs up for this great recipe👍👍👍👍
This isn't even a recipe
???
how is it more healthier? just a question
Gay Lord exactly
Daequeef Homemade bread is going to have less preservatives than commercially produced products, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's unhealthy for you. Preservatives are only meant to extend the shelf life of perishable food such as bread or canned veggies/fruits.
I never get tired of seeing this video. It recharges my passion for baking bread. Love that so much.
i love this video so much BUT HIS SOCKS AND SHOES ARE MY BIG MOOD I LOVE IT

Yeah, and then when you do you realise how hard and life-consuming not only owning a business is, but having to work from times like midnight or 3am, to bake every day, meaning you can't have a "normal" work/life balance. Baking is hard as fuck, and doesn't pay well at all.
Damn very high quality stuff.. its like the documentary u watch on tv
Even better

Andrew Cunnison I’ve gotta find me some of that! Chocolate and bread together!
Haha
Nice story man
I want to be an engineer and also like baking. what are the chances?
Andrew Maksimovich xD, you can do both. Like take engineering in college then become a home baker or take a one year course after you graduated. Other than baking, I also have a bunch of other passion such as writing, arts and playing several musical instruments (guitar, violin, lyre, ukulele, flute). It’s pretty hard to keep all of them but I can manage since I love doing this stuff. So if you really love those two, pursue both of them, who knows what life might have in store for you. Goodluck!❤️
Haha, how sweet! Reading your story just made my day :)
I want to be a theoretical astrophysicist, and baker/cook, but it’ll take a long time for me to graduate. Any advice?
Its always satisfied to watch when people work with passion and enjoy with their work 😁.

I haven’t had babka in yearsssss when I used to hang with my Jewish friends. What a throwback! Bread is such an amazing food. So many various cultures, religions, and races of people make their bread in their own unique ways. It’s the perfect food to blend people from different backgrounds! Gonna hit my friends up and ask for the perfect babka recipe ☺️ much love ❤️
Andrea Corbett right I'm from Israel and I've never heard of babka what the hell 😂
