Nova had a falling out with the label and was forced to move and Crenshaw was the only close place she could afford. Tom was just dragged back to Canada by his mom to help him get sober and once he cleaned up he was looking to go for his dream of rapping again in the United States and Nova offered to let him crash with her for a little bit since they knew each other. It was one of those things where they started out as friends and eventually became boyfriend and girlfriend. But even for Tom's first several videos that went viral they were doing it in Crenshaw and Tom was using a $5 microphone.

you guys may want to react to toms girlfriend Nova Rockafeller song just released last friday it almost has 1 million views on youtube its called Lost Girls ,, she and tom met in edmonton alberta canada when they were teenagers , she later signed a record deal and went to toronto than new york signed by island def jam records , they screwed here over and now after 12 yrs she released her first fully independent song ,, tom and her have been a couple for about 9 or 10 yrs and known each other for about 17 yrs .. enjoy you tom macdonald and nova rockafeller journey ,, she does all his videography as well

Hangover gang was his posse back in the day when he was first doing music. Mind you he was an alcoholic who was also addicted to drugs. Having grown up in the hood in Philly I know hood living is where you have to be not where you choose to be. Him living in the hood in California was not necessarily by choice. You live where you can afford to live and when you're addicted to drugs and alcohol that's where all your money goes. He's talked about it in interviews he sung about it in different songs. Not have any food, the electric being cut off, all the po life trials and tribulations.
