Hepatitis B virus carriers still have risk of liver cancer even if they don’t have liver inflammation.
For HBV carriers, even if they do not need treatment, they still need regular follow-up and surveillance. Thus, it would be possible to detect liver cancer in the early stage and initiate timely treatment.
