    ► If you are new to this type of audio brainwave entrainment, find out how isochronic tones work and how they compare to binaural beats here: www.mindamend.c....
    The main product for this isochronic tones track comes with 7 alternative background sound options: classical ambience, light ambience (the one in this video), tranquil ambience, brown noise, thunderstorm, whale sounds, just tones (no soundtrack).
    This isochronic tones session works a bit differently to my other Sleep Induction track. This track begins at 9.5Hz, and guides you down to the Schumann Resonance frequency of 7.83Hz in high Theta (12 minutes), which is an incredibly effective frequency for deeply relaxing you.
    When your mind is on fire with thoughts it can take longer to get yourself relaxed. So instead of trying to bring you down to Delta sleep too quickly, you are stimulated with this 7.83Hz frequency for 40 minutes. Most of the time your body will take itself off to a deep sleep state before this 40-minute mark is reached.
    At 40 minutes the frequency starts to ramp downwards to a 1Hz deep Delta state, which it reaches at 45 minutes. The frequency stays at 1Hz for the remaining 15 minutes of the track, helping to ensure you stay in this deep sleep state.
    Do You Need Headphones?
    Headphones are optional and not required for this particular session.
    Recommend Headphones For Sleep
    Normal headphones are usually very uncomfortable and impractical to use while sleeping. I've had some SleepPhones for over 10 years now and I highly recommend you give them a try.
    SleepPhones are specifically designed for use while sleeping, with thin flat speakers that are contained inside a very comfortable headband. You can use them while lying on your side and they also have wireless versions, making them very easy and practical to use.
    You can find out more about them here: www.MindAmend....

    Good Morning, Jason! Once upon a time (1999) I had a terrible accident and I had to have surgery to fix what was wrong inside me. They used that anesthesia to put me to sleep. It was really sort of awesome. They had me count backwards from 10 and I FELT myself losing consciousness! I noticed that last night--when I used this video for the first time--that it had a similar effect. It was much slower, of course. But, I NOTICED myself feeling sleepy. It was WONDERFUL. I have a horrible time falling and staying asleep. And--a bonus!!!!--I didn't get up a million times to go to the bathroom either!! Dunno if that was because of your music, but it was great. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you, Jason! I think I'll even write a Facebook post about this one!! You rock! and Keep on truckin'!!

    Hi Jason. I've bought some of those SleepPhones you've mentioned (have done a video review on my channel actually) and they're good arent they. Far too overpriced mind but they are comfortable and do the job well enough. Thanks for the recommendation. I shall still keep looking for the perfect night headphones but these will do for now :-) I hope you are keeping well x

      Hi, yes I'm doing very well thanks, I hope you are too. :) You're right about the SleepPhones, they are a bit pricey for what you get. I think the headphones for sleep market needs a bit more competition and innovation from other manufacturers, then hopefully the prices will drop and we'll have some more options to choose from. • @MindAmend

      Hi Lauren, you might also want to try the following video, which guides you down the lower Delta frequency more quickly: Sleep Induction Music - Isochronic Tones With Heart Of Lakes. My newest video is actually for insomniacs, but this one is not to be used at bedtime. Instead, you use this one during the day or early evening to produce more SMR waves in the brain, which are typically low in ionsomniacs: Sensorimotor Rhythm (SMR) Mental Training For Insomniacs -Isochornic Tones

    Is there something wrong with me if I don't fall asleep with this even if I'm tired? And is it still beneficial even if it doesn't send you to sleep?

    • @MindAmend
      @MindAmend  7 років тому +1

      No there's nothing wrong with you. We are all wired a little differently and respond to things in different ways, so a track may work better for one person compared to another. If your goal with it is to get to sleep, then it's not going to be beneficial if it's not helping you with that. You may respond better to some of my other sleep tracks which you can find in this playlist: ua-cam.com/video/WraFrT0XhgE/v-deo.html.

To get it onto your iPod, you'd normally download it from my website to a laptop or PC first, then add it to your iTunes library. Then connect your iPod and sync your iTunes library to your iPod. Would it be effective to just go to the 40 min. mark?

    • @MindAmend
      @MindAmend  10 років тому +1

      Travis Wolfley Hi Travis, this track is really for listening to when you go to sleep, so I'm not sure why you'd only want to listen for 40 minutes? Unless you're using it for some kind of power nap situation? If so, then it would be okay for that. Although if power napping, it would be better to have something that ramps up the frequency towards the end, to help wake you up a bit. I hope to bring out a power nap product in the future.

    • @qqwwerttyuiopp
      @qqwwerttyuiopp 10 років тому

      Jason Lewis - MindAmend no, I mean start from 40 min.
      \

    • @MindAmend
      @MindAmend  10 років тому

      Travis Wolfley Hi Travis, that may be helpful for you, but it ramps down quite sharply from 40 minutes. If you are not already deeply relaxed, your brainwaves might struggle to fall in sync with the tones. Have you tried this other sleep track of mine? Sleep Induction Music - Isochronic Tones With Heart Of Lakes. The Sleep Induction track ramps down to the lower frequencies much earlier than this one for chattery minds. So you might find that one a better fit for you.

    • @MindAmend
      @MindAmend  9 років тому +3

      +' Pseudonym There isn't really an optimum volume, as it will depend on your personal preference to some extent and the equipment you are using. As a general guide for isochronic tones tracks, you should have it loud enough so that you can hear the sound of the repetitive tones, but not so loud that it hurts your ears or gives you a headache. Somewhere in the middle at a level you feel comfortable with. For a sleep track like this one though, you should probably try having it a little lower than my types of isochronic tones tracks.

      I would say the quality is certainly good enough for the job. They can't really be compared directly to high-end headphones with a deep bass sound because they are not designed to compete with those. When I've used them I usually have the volume pretty low and found them sufficient for my personal requirements. I've had mine for a while now, maybe 5 or 6 years+, so I would imagine the latest version has been improved over my old set as well.

    I always have trouble with that low drone sound I notice in almost all meditation music. I find it awful! It is the very opposite of relaxing! It's stressful and headache inducing for me. What should I understand about this? Can anyone clarify or enlighten?

    • @MindAmend
      @MindAmend  9 років тому +1

      HowDareThey1970 I think it just means you have a different taste and preference. What sounds like a beautiful masterpiece to one person, may be as annoying as a pneumatic drill to the next person. That's why there are so many genres and sub genres of music. This type of deeper sound is popular among meditators and I get requests to make more, but it's not going to be to every taste.

    • @HowDareThey1970
      @HowDareThey1970 9 років тому +2

      Noah Kaplan so just to help me understand something very puzzling to me-- the long relentless drone does not bother you at all? You do not feel like turning the music off and feel relief when it is turned off? You enjoy the sound actually?????

      Jason, thank you so much for your reply. I use several of your tracks which, I believe, are helping me. Sometimes I wonder if I can really hear the tones. Are the tones subliminal? I have an ear-bud set and a soft set. When I use the Stop Procrastination, (I going for using that each day for 45 days) the affirmations come pounding in my ear because I have the volume up so high for the tones. Suggestions?

      Thanks Emily. However you found me, I'm glad you're here. :)
