she can really express the depression when necessary.. her accurate body language, her emotion, her character.. no one is gonna or not able to replace this madonna of asia,, RIP anita mui
I wish I was born earlier. It would have been great to be able to say I've attended a Anita Mui live performance. You can't find another voice like hers. The best of the best gone too soon.
even tho im only 15, i grew up listening to these songs from my parents =) and my mom use to sing this every time this comes up she is my favorite singer compared to the ones today cause no one could ever replace her beautiful voice
I didn't need to understand the words of this song to really enjoy Anita's performance, however I just downloaded English translation of the lyrics and it's really a wonderful, deep song.
Anita Mui and Theresa Teng were 2 angels who flew back to Heaven too soon! No singer now are such high standard of music. Most Cantonese pop music is just pretty girl with small talent! And Mandarin pop is maybe only a little better. OH 1980s and 1990s was golden period of Chinese music! REMEMBER IT! This song bring many tear! 55555555
her voice was changed after the surgery at young age. but this voice gave her the most successful tool in this entertainment circle... she is a forever star
Somehow my previous response didn't get posted so I'll try it again. I'd suggest "Sunset Melody" or "Song of Sunset". For more of Anita's greatest hits, check out the clips posted by Almurnith. Thanks for the visit and your comment!
This is the first time I am hearing an asian song and it is wonderful. I can't understand the lyrics but it sounds very nice to me. I am constantly listening this song over and over. Does any one know another good song from Anita?
@nrc1977 i would recommend her version of Stand By Me and Love Commander (愛將) or Blazing Red Lips (烈焰紅唇). These are really good songs and I hope you'll fall in love with them, at least I did.
You can't hear this kind of singing in HK anymore.. Whenever those "singers" do a live performance, they lip synch. If not, then they'll go off key. Unlike the 70's, 80's and 90's where singers were actually SINGERS.
The 4 women: Anita Mui, Faye Wong, Sandy Lam, Sally Yip, and the 4 guys: Andy Lau, Jacky Cheung, Aaron Kwok, and Leon Lai were the best. I was a kid back then, but I'm 31 now. None of the younger stars who came after them were any good. With the exception of Joey, she is good just not nearly as good. But look at the "Twins" or Edison, all horrible. I don't even know who came after them. But they have all sucked. Like America, everyone focused more on looks than on the actual voice/song/performance.
+Twnyc I do have lots of respect to most of the artists you mentioned, but no offence but i recommend you to listen to more Canto. music. Start from Supper Moment and C all stars, IMO they're better than folks like Andy Lau or Leon Lai.

It is 2023 and I am still enjoying listening to this duet. Remembering Anita ❤❤

I love classical music but this song is TRUELY REMARKABLE.
her voice was changed after the surgery at young age. but this voice gave her the most successful tool in this entertainment circle... she is a forever star
Nobody can sing with that touching emotion any more. Such a talent.
Queen of Cantopop
I feel sorry for her, she never found a man in her life
Rest In Peace Anita =)
This is my favorite song whan I was little.
超級..."正"
懷念往~~年 ...... 懷念妳梅艷芳
even without the Orchestra, she can make a very good performance,...
miss you so much.. love Anita forever!!!
Incomparable.
Thanks Kat2877, that song was also very nice. But I liked "Years flowing like water" the most.
i totally agreed ~!!! RIP Anita
Miss your 😭😭😭
very nice classical remix !
in fact i like every version of this song :)
cos this song is a classic itself !
Actually many people share the same thoughts with you. "Years Flowing Like Water" is truly Anita's most famous/popular song.
You have got to get a translation of the lyrics. it is pure poetry. the best part of the song in my opinion, and blends with the melody so perfectly.
Miss her voice
i love you forever anita

I can't agree more, zingph and elvisbin. And it's true for the western world as well.
百听不厌的好歌
This song , the English language translation was called Home Coming . Chee Shui Lau Lin

is there any HQ version of this wonderful and dreamy orchestra? love the chorus here and i miss her so much...
you forgot the 90's where Leon Lai, Aaron Kwok, Jacky Cheung, and Andy Lau reigned supreme...

i love this song. does anyone know where i can legally download this?
my wife never learned, she only can believe me. cause when i go, she probably wont be as she is.

torrent is your friend hehehehehe
The HK Philharmonic sounded pretty terrible - thank goodness Anita was singing. She made the song sound so much better.

Leslie Cheung was the best.
Don't forget Leslie😭
For Modern Singers, try G.E.M. She writes her own songs and can actually sing.
