ESPN just trying to find anything to criticize Tatum and the Celtics, it’s really insane
I really don't get it, dude is a big part of a team that wins like 70% of the time and they talk like he's a problem
@@dochudson9393 his playoff performance has consistently been a problem throughout the years. Its fair to scrutinize him for it
Yeah this is madness
As a Knicks fan, welcome to the club. 🤝🏻. Have a seat right next to us in regards to the hate we get.
@@IBlackSantadefine consistently a problem? One bad series doesn’t equate to a problem Jayson Tatum has been a good playoff performer where are you getting this narrative he sucks in the playoffs?
33/11/5 with 2 steals 1 block on 44% is not that bad he was active in all aspects of the game
Not to mention big, serious rebounds late in the game
Just let the casuals have their moment
Shannon Sharpe is the biggest casual you can find. Everyone just wants to pretend he's better than Skip due to the overwhelming hate.
Tim wrong on this one. They do not want Tatum playing like that , 11 made FGs while taking 25 shots. Its bad news when Tatum put up that many shots. They would definitely take a 5 for 20 game from Tatum lol
I didn’t realize until these playoffs that so many people in the media despise the Celtics
Tatum is actually getting backlash after 33/10/5 performances in back to back road games lmao, he can't win
These robots look at the star box and if it’s under 50% fg% then they think it’s a bad game lol. This stuffs out of control.
Celtics can’t do anything right apparently. I really hope they’re ignoring the media lol
Jayson is getting more hate for scoring 33 on 44% in a win than Luka for scoring 18 on 19 shots with bad defense in a loss (while missing a clutch free throw he did not deserve).
It’s amazing, never seen anything like this.

His 5th option on his team is as good as some teams 2nd option he has no excuses to have a bad game
Whoever this 5th option is you are referring to, I assure you that Payton Pritchard and Al Horford are nowhere near as skilled as Klay Thompson, Anthony Davis, Bam Adebayo, or even Khris Middleton. That’s a very bad take
Kobe's efficiency actually improved in the playoffs, and he was a lot more clutch than Tatum, being efficient when it mattered the most. And defensively, even though Tatum is very good, he's no Kobe.

@@ojezzus5772FYI, Kobe won his first chip older than what Tatum is now🤡
Shannon does understand that Tatum leads the Celtics in literally everything except scoring right. And why do you think JB is getting his shots so easily? Maybe it’s because he’s not the priority on any scouting report, Jayson Tatum is the priority. I hate this notion that Tatum hasn’t been the Celtics best player in the playoffs just cuz he hasn’t scored well, last time I checked Dennis Rodman is a hall of famer despite being an atrocious offensive player.
Shannon doesn’t understand basketball at all
Respectfully, Tatum ain’t there to not lead the C’s in scoring. Jaylen Brown is a great player but Tatum is “supposed to” be a top-5 type talent in the NBA.
@@ckaiborbor Tatum’s there to do whatever he needs to do as the best player to win the game. If that means going for 50 hes gotta do that, if his teammates are cooking he’s gotta let them cook, if he needs to take over he’s gotta take over. There’s no 1 way to impact a game as the best player.

When a star goes out and another team plays well, it's easily understandable. The ball gets spread around more, the opposing team has no game plan for the new rotations...If you notice, all of those players' pts went UP from their averages in the series. Relaxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, not too much on Kobe now🤨
Kobe wasn't inefficient neither was tatum. You don't judge someone efficiency based FG% you go by true shooting which takes into account your free throws plus 3s and ranked against league average. Harden was shooting 43% during his prime but was considered efficient because of his free throws and 3s which tatum does as well and kobe

Tatum literally can’t catch a break from the media
When he gets a triple double but only got like 20 points “why didn’t he get more point”
When the man gets 30+ points it’s pretty “he doesn’t pass the ball” I’m not surprised considering he’s a superstar from Boston but it’s kinda silly considering he responded from game 2 by having back to back 30 points games lol
33/12/6 on 45% from the field last 2 games. These guys not only don't watch the game anymore, they don't even look at the box score.
thank god SAS isn’t here today to defend his lifeless Knicks
inb4 they still win the series
All i know is yall better keep that same energy when jokic is inefficient or when luka is inefficient. Its the postseason and the second round at that. Coaches will coach to make the oppsing players play to their weaknesses.
All people on the internet do is talk trash. You guys are never satisfied.
He's always been a sub 50% shooter. His 3 is where the problem lies. He needs to get back into form in the ECF and deffo Finals especially if KP isn't back
Its so insane that the standard for the celtics according to shannon is: end the game in the first quarter and sit the starters in the 4th and win by 20. Ive never heard something like that before
Efficiency don’t matter … just hoop Jt
Can yall talk about how Luka hasn't scored 30 this whole series and went 6/20 with 7 turnovers and missed a late free throw? Or does that not fit the Tatum Narrative because if Tatum did that yall would be hating within the hour
Tomorrow night Boston win the series against Cleveland 😎
Anybody can get 33 points when they get a Jack ton of free throw attempts and 25 shot attempts. Jaylen Brown is still Boston’s best playoff performer.
My maaan you ain’t told no lies
Brain damaged take. Brown gets his points because teams are way more scared of JT. Jt is the better ebounder, playmaker and ball handler. Not to mention 3 point shooting, free throw shooting and general scoring. JB is a better mid range shooter with a better mentality. Both equal finishers
Huh?! You can tell when people just look at the box score, Brown was playing CTE basketball last night those numbers dont tell the full story
Y’all was just crying about how he wasn’t being aggressive and not shooting enough getting “bailed out” by Derrick White. Now he shooting a lot and yall crying still lol
JB can do all that because every team's best defenders are loading up on JT. JT is the #1 on this team based on how other teams guard the Celtics
Tatum gets hated on more than any other star in the league
33 points on 44% shooting isn’t bad, especially when you’re the teams best rebounder, playmaker and defender
Nobody cared how many shots kobe missed on his way to a championship.
Media's irrational hatred for Celtics has become actual COMEDY. We raising banner 18, and they'll find a way to STILL hate. Nonsense bro.
If they not dropping 50 every game it’s underwhelm😂😂😂 can’t take these people serious
JFC They won and you're still harping on the dude, This is Why ESPN is going the way of the Dodo bird, most people here are trying to establish other shows so they can still have careers when this place inevitably implodes.
"He's getting closer to really breaking out" -Tim Legler
Tatum just scored 33 points in back-to-back games. I'm beginning to think these commentators are no longer giving us their professional opinions but rather just looking for clicks and seeing how many likes they get for their assanine comments. The Celtics are the best team in the league, period. They showed it during the regular season and they are showing it now. And they will also show it in the finals whether it be the wolves, nuggets, OKC or the Mavs. I can only hope these commentators will admit how idiotic their comments are once the season is all said and done.
hes talking about Tatum breaking out from the 3. He's not hating
Savanna had the “I can’t believe we’re back here.” Look
The standard y’all hold the Celtics is crazzy!!! They hate to see the Celtics doing good with out KP 😂
Shannon said, "we expect the J's to be up 20 at the half and sitting on the bench in the 4th"... and that unrealistic expectation is exactly what's wrong with the standard they hold the Celtics to and these "Takes"
So if Tatum shoots 13/25 vs 11/25 people are satisfied? We’re talking about 2 more made shots here. I really can’t stand the media lol
Thats what im saying lol, 11 for 25 is not even thay bad... thsts ok effiency plus they won
I looked at the thumbnail and shook my head
At this rate Tatum could drop 100 points 50/50 FG 15 assists and 20 rebounds and these clowns will still find something to hate about .
I hope people know their doing this on purpose. They know anything negative about Tatum get's a lot of engagement and if the Celtics don't win it all, they have their storyline post finals. Everyone knows ESPN is a laughing stock, especially First Take.
Shannon, don’t make me get Shaq
Shannon doesn’t even know basketball forreal
Don't think Celtics would win against any of the remaining 4 teams in the west.
Denver going to repeat.
Celtics will beat any team out the west in 5 maybe 6
Celtics will smash any team except Denver
If Tatum really cares about his legacy and wants to atone for his poor Finals play in 2022, he should play out of his mind if he makes the Finals again. A record of 0-2 will look terrible for his career and Boston is gonna eat him up.
CRAZY that he's only 19 year old 😅🤣😂😅🤣🤣😂😂😅😅😂🤣😂😂😂😂🤣😂😅😅😅😂🤣😂😂😅😅😅😅😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😅😅😂🤣🤣😂😂😂😂
I made the comment last week that in order for the Celtics to win the championship, they need to have the killer instinct, I want to adjust my stance on that. What I meant was, in order for them to get there and win, Tatum has to be the one with the killer instinct, and then I believe that the team will follow that, but with that being said, if you’re a Celtics fan, do have confidence that they can close this series out? Because Boston has struggled on their home court the last two years, including game 2, so, just something to keep in mind.
Jalen Brunson shot same shot chart game 2-4 y’all called him Top 5 make it make sense
It's like Tatum is being held to some kind of unattainable standard all of a sudden. Yes he's not shooting great percentage wise. But he's out there doing everything else really well. Why does that get overlooked? He just averaged like 33/12/5 in 2 straight playoff road wins shooting 44%.
I can't believe anyone could ever watch the game and say that Brown is more important than Tatum. Love brown, his efficiency has been great, but theres a clear difference in how defences respond to Tatum. They cover Tatum way more and allow brown to absolutely obliterate their weaker defenders
A show with Shannon and Tim would be money 💴 💰
As a Cavs fan, the hate the Boston Celtics are getting is ridiculous. Tatum and Brown are playing great basketball and our defense has forced them to take tough shots and make them.
Give me a break. They’re 7-2. They’re undefeated in the road. But Tatum isn’t scoring enough. Then he does and he’s not efficient. If your goal is to trash the Celtics and nothing is ever going to be good enough just say it instead of pretending you’re offering real analysis
Tatum is more about just scoring now,he is elevating his game in more areas,he has many help....
Losing 33 points and 11 rebound to only 1 person is defensively win??😅😅
I'm sick of injuries being such an excuse for teams. The fittest survive. The healthy teams win championships. It's always been like that. Celtics playing with a top-3 player out too. Not to mention, everyone in the league is a pro and has the ability to step up.
Never seen a team or one player get this much hate any other superstar put those numbers up they won’t say anything Luka scored 30+ on under 50% all the time and they praise him for it. Tatum is in a lose lose situation it seems like. Only other player I can say I’ve seen receive this type of criticism is Lebron
Is Tatum getting the same treatment Bron had before he got his 1st chip?
Tatum plays well= criticism.
Tatum plays decent or bad and we win= criticism.
Its not their fault who comes out of the east and plays them. It's not their fault that other teams are injured or undermanned. Media gets really annoying with these narratives.
It's always great to see Legs on the show 😎
Shameful reporting. Cable TV can’t die soon enough with the sorry state of sports journalism
Tatum is in one of those tough spots where he can't win. If he shoots poorly but yet doing the other things that impacts winning, the narrative is that he's being carried and he isn't bringing it. If he looks to be more aggressive offensively, then he's being selfish and he's jacking up shots instead of getting his teammates involved. It doesn't matter about the inefficient shooting the past two games. His aggressiveness alone is what is keeping the Cavs on their heels all game and it opens up for a Holiday to all of a sudden go off and other contributors. Why do you think Brown has been going off all playoffs? The game plan for every team coming in is to stop Tatum offensively from dropping 40-50 on your head.
I dont wanna hear none of this when we win this year
The first game of the first round JT had a triple double and he averaged a double-double while playing great defense and rebounding. Explain what’s terrible? These are playoff level NBA teams capable of turning up their defense. And despite that he’s finding a way to convert…. But go off. This is crazy town.
To your point, he's playing passive. He's not being aggressive. He's being inefficient not looking for his shots. It's out of character for him. I don't know what's going on but he better snap out of it
Allen iverson shot 42% for an entire reg season and still won an mvp😂😂 ok ESPN
Where the luka blame at
u talk about being concerned about celtics not being challenged were the warriors challenged on their way to 2022 finals? meanwhile celtics had to go thru an absolute gauntlet in their finals run and i forgot which team it worked out for in the end can someone remind me?
if this were a bench player on the Knicks they'd be screaming how this guys a future superstar , the Tatum hate is just annoying
They may not be challenged offensively but defensively the Heat and Cavs are physical and handsy lol
Their offense starts with him. He has been gettibg the ball moving when teams load up on him. also its only been his threes that isnt going in. His ft and 2 pters are fine. He is rebounding very well, defending really well, passing really well. His threes are just missing, that's it. He has played well
The medias coverage of the celtics has been amazing this year. When we win big, thats was we are supposed to do. When we lose, thats proof we wont win a title. When we win a close game, time to nitpick as to why we wont win. It's crazy
Oh my God. Is JT the only person that has shot less than 50%? You would think Boston has lost 5 games so far instead of 2.
Jayson Tatum is only 19 let’s give him some time to grow
