- A player's review of the HK Army HSTL paintball goggle. It's an entry-level mask at an entry-level price, but does it deliver on the features? Watch the video and see for yourself!
I bought one for myself and I like the field of view. The top strap is the reason I bought one for my youngest daughter (her small head size was causing the other masks she tried to slip down her head). And I like that the mask foam and the lens is easy and fast to replace. As a note, we only use thermal lenses
hm, I always read that name as "Hustle" :)
in my opinion the few bucks to upgrade to a thermal lens from the get go are the best investment you can do to have more fun and perform better on the field.
I'm not entirely sure on the pricing of these, but virtue has b-stock vio ascends (just misaligned prints I believe) on their site which seem to be an excellent pickup as an entry- to mid-level mask.
I would also love to hear your thoughts on the empire helix thermal if you ever had the chance to hold one, Because that's what I almost settled on, before someone offered me a used VIO contour for 40€.
I've always recommended the Profilers as the best entry level mask. Excellent field of vision, decent breathability, fairly easy lens removal and change. For some reason, VForce seems to have stopped providing them so obviously not a currently available mask, and buying used masks is not for a beginner. Never dealt with the HSTL series, and besides my Profiler I now use the CMD , but as for available masks I'd recommend the EFlex at this point for a noob.
This is strictly a one-man, micro-budget, only-in-my-spare-time endeavor, and yup, I know it looks it!

And hey, go play paintball!
In the realm of beginner low cost(sub 250) markers, have you tried any azodins? I'm genuinely curious especially with their mechanicals, namely the Kaos3, would it be worth getting?
The Kaos is on my list of TO-DO, but things are slow right now due to the baby and the new job's long hours. Spoiler alert: I prefer the Spyder Victor for quality vs price paid, but they both shoot about the same in my opinion.
