The SCW were the absolute scene in Nashville in the mid+ 90's. Great guitar player. They were our band in Nashville. They were ours and we were proud of them. Period
Saw them live in ‘99, a little club in Asheville, NC. They were amazing live!! I floated on air for days after that show. I loved that Mike did some lockdown shows from his home during the pandemic, the best being Wheelie Wednesdays, where he had to relearn a lot of the older songs. Fun to watch the process. He’s hands down my favorite singer, ever. And I love a lot of talented singers. 🎼 🎸
I tell people all the time he's my favorite singer as well and sadly most have no clue who I'm talking about..he's right on par with Jeff Buckley in my eyes

The "problem" with these cats is that they feed pure love energy into your soul. The dark heart can't have that. They were too much of a threat and not allowed to persist. Unfortunate.

@@gregorywade1993 I went to the Friday night and Saturday night shows and I'm physically going to feel it probably through the weekend, but it was totally worth it,I made new friends and listened to music that filled my soul and recharged the internal batteries for life (I'm 56 and I have a type of Leukemia (CLL) and it drains the energy that's I said I would feel rough through the weekend) I told Paul Brown (I made friends with him) that this was the best medicine I could have ever gotten "he lost his wife to the same type of Leukemia as I have")
One of the 2 best bands from the 90's with Blind Melon being the other IMHO. Definitely one of my 5 favorite bands of all time, these guys were seriously underrated. Fuck Nirvana and all the other posers from this era, I would give my left nut to see these guys live together again.
Ferris is a great singer - very Steve Marriot (Humble Pie) BUT STUPID name! Total turn-off! Would've expected MUCH higher creativity! Names matter - this doesn't get there, which is why they had much smaller success than should've & could've had. Pay the price boys.
